In an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV Friday, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said President Barack Obamas decision not to fully enforce the Defense of Marriage law eventually could lead to a constitutional crisis, as he has directly violated his constitutional duties by arbitrarily suspending a law. Gingrich even suggested that, if a President Sarah Palin had taken a similar action, there would have been immediate calls for her impeachment. Clearly its a violation of his constitutional oath. Clearly it is not something that can be allowed to stand." Obama Attorney General Eric Holder said on Wednesday that the administration will not defend the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act.. Gingrich slammed Obama for his decision, telling Newsmax that he is not a one-person Supreme Court and his decision sets a very dangerous precedent that must not be allowed to stand. Story continues below video. Imagine that Governor Palin had become president. Imagine that she had announced that Roe versus Wade in her view was unconstitutional and therefore the United States government would no longer protect anyones right to have an abortion because she personally had decided it should be changed. The news media would have gone crazy. The New York Times would have demanded her impeachment. First of all, he campaigned in favor of [the law]. He is breaking his word to the American people, Gingrich says. Second, he swore an oath on the Bible to become president that he would uphold the Constitution and enforce the laws of the United States. He is not a one-person Supreme Court. The idea that we now have the rule of Obama instead of the rule of law should frighten everybody.

Obama works against his country, so yes, it is fair to ask why, and wonder about the possibility of his removal. Biden waits in the wings however. We aren’t stupid.
Revitalizing presidents who would otherwise be unpopular through impeachment or impeachment threats is what Gingrich does best. Would we even have had a Senator Hillary Clinton, or Bill Clinton remaining as popular as he is in some circles today, if not for Newt Gingrich?
I hope he does run, if for no other reason than to take some air out of his ego when no one votes for him. And he’d make someone who has actually been faithful to their families and promises, like Sarah, look that much better. There are some fresh faces out there, I’d like to see one of them run versus a has-been.
But overall, he has the same problems with morality that turned me off on Rooty Giuliani. A real scumbag who I couldn’t bring myself to vote for no matter who his opponent was.
Scares the hell out of me every day.
Dear God, please keep this Nation free.
“Who will we have to run against him in 2012? He will have a trillion dollars in his war chest.
Barry may have money but he has not got a long form birth certificate and there will be 5-10 states with their hand out for that BC before he gets on the ballot.
he is right ,the disparity between how politicians are judged is pathetic
