Translation: It's not like most of the women getting abortions are middle class white women. This is all about halting our eugenics program and letting them multiply like rabbits.
Regards
Absolutely all that will be accomplished by this vote is to restrict access to a safe and legal procedure to poor women. This does nothing to end abortions. It is purely discriminatory. It makes me heartsick. Sen. Mary Margaret Whipple, D-Arlington
She’s heartsick? Over the fact that there will not be as many abortions done on minority women? Margaret Sanger anyone?
Why isn’t she heartsick over the loss of life within these clinics? I’m “heartsick” over that. What a choice of words!
“a bill that would hold abortion clinics to the same medical standards as hospitals, and so result in the closing of the majority of clinics operating in the State.”
Makes you wonder about what happened to all the Hospitals if the standards are that prohibitive. No wonder health-care costs so much in Virgina.
I wonder if an unintended consequence might not be the flourishing of abortion clinics in VA. If I were a woman who lived in DC/MD/NC/WV/PA/DE or any nearby state, and I were contemplating an abortion, I might think my safety would be worth the trip to VA.
I would say that Margaret Sanger would not be too pleased with this development.
Whether it goes anywhere or not is not the issue. The fact that it is brought to the public’s awareness is newsworthy.
Pray for an end to abortion in the United States (or else our country is going down the tubes.)
In any case, they should be held to the same standards as surgical clinics. Then they could do more than kill babies.
I would hate to judge, but I would think that Margaret Sanger would be too pleased with nothing more thn an electric fan and a cool glass of Iced Tea. I imagine that if I was to bump into her after I shake this mortal coil, I may have made a significant error in judgment while alive.

approved a bill that would hold abortion clinics to the same medical standards as hospitals.
...........................................................
Does that mean they would have to scrub the floor daily, and take out the trash onoccasion?
What is wrong with holding an abortion clinic to the same standards as a hospital? That should have been the rule all along.
"No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law.""No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."
Would you fool around with requiring Hitler to provide antiseptic concentration camps?
The Ten Comandments are in Bronze on the doors of the Supreme Court and serve as a basis of our laws.
The 10 Commandments
Thou shalt not have other gods besides Me
Thou shalt not take the Name of the Lord thy God in vain
Remember to keep holy the Lords day
Honor thy father and thy mother
Thou shalt not murder
Thou shalt not commit adultery
Thou shalt not steal
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors goods
Yet our legal system is ignoring, changing or not following the basic laws given by GOD.
As Catholics, we need to reaffirm these laws and follow them. Thus setting the example of a positive spiritual life for others.
Good for VA - and the Cooch (our AG)!
Abortion is so “sacrosanct” that even a face lift procedure is more regulated than abortion...
When you have no regulation, you get butchers like that dr. dude in PA...
Womens’ equal protection and liberation, my a**....
For over 25 years, Virginia abortion clinics have not been held to minimal health and safety standards. As a result, women who walk into these clinics are often not treated with the care and respect that any human being deserves. Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli
Now that in itself is just plain wrong.
From that I get the idea that Delicatessens and Restaurants are held to higher 'Health Standards'. And local Butcher Shops (no pun) would also be held to higher 'Safety Standards'.
How anyone can defend that is beyond me. It's reprehensible!
(So much for abortion being all about 'Woman's Health'. This is a 'Back Alley Abortion' without the Alley.)
Barber Shops and delicatessans/restaurants are far cleaner ,, how many restaurants can you name where the kitchens have filthy carpeting harboring disease and crud and spills... where the kitchen knives and tools (lets assume they are supposed to be single use) are re-used repeatedly and never washed (unless a quick rinse that does nothing to kill germs counts in your book) until they fall apart and must be replaced and where the staff KNOWS that they will never have a visit from a health inspector... and your table and chair look as if a 3 year old just had lunch there..
But my favorite if that most use a common kitchen garbage disposal to destroy and discard the remains... that means that “parts” are aerosolized and soak into every crevice of the building feeding the bacteria , mold and related pathogens...

You’re probably right ,, I can see that happening ,, and that’s OK ,,, we just need to get similar legislation enacted in every state ... at the very least it’ll drive up costs. I think it’ll benefit PP more than anyone ,, they have the money to comply ,, most “independants” will struggle..
I personally think that the biggest area of attack is $$$$ ,, I’m sure they underreport “sales” and once controls are in place where we KNOW they are using a fresh cannula for each patient it’s a simple matter to see they report 30 sales but used 45 disposable devices (currently they would use only 1 or 2 for 45 patients) .. they are hiding 1/3 of sales.
