Glad to know that Republicans can dispatch state troopers. The journal has reached the bottom. I will not renew.

I’m not sure what’s new or newsworthy about this. I saw video early in the week of troopers walking past the vehicles in the driveway and up to knock at the door - only to walk away “empty-handed”.

Pick the weakest of the runaway dhimmicrats and start a recall action against him. Concentrate your resources on one instead of many efforts against many.

Kick his butt to the curb and you’ll get the attention of all the rest of them.

Nah. The cops are probably just pretending to look for their fellow pro-union Dem members. Remember that the head of the police officers or state troopers union made a statement that they regret backing Scott walker.

Can the legislature proceed without these clowns? If so, why waste time and money looking for them? Have a vote without them.

And be sure that their constituents are constantly reminded that these legislators did not give them a voice in the assembly, particularly around the time these bums come up for re-election.

The quorum seems to be imbedded in Wisconsin's Constitution.

However, I'm not satisfied that these 14 missing members are in Illinois of their own free will.

It's more likely a couple of them with firearms or armed with some terrific blackmail have actually kidnapped the others.

HOW ABOUT THIS????
Wisconsin Republican lawmakers dispatched state troopers

The Wall Street Journal published an article stating that the Wisconsin Republicans have the authority to dispatch state troopers. Some one is wrong. Don't know who/which but it was in the print Journal today. It might be that I'm wrong. But I doubt it.

“The quorum seems to be embedded in Wisconsin's Constitution.”

Only for money bills. All others can be done with a simple majority.

Time to ramrod a bunch of non-money bills through without the Donkeys: CCW, voter ID cards, closed primaries, no registration the day of the election, no one can vote unless the are WI state residents (e.g., out of state students voting in WI state or national elections while a resident of another state), etc. All these items can be done with simple majority votes.

Get with it, GOP.

The voter ID card involves money.

There are lots and lots and lots of things that involve money that isn't always apparent to the casual reader.

FOLKS: Here's the point.

Wisconsin Republican lawmakers dispatched state troopers

They don't have that authority as near as I can tell.

The Democrat lawmakers from Wisconsin can be found easily. Just scour the hospitals for men with rectal tears and hemorrhoids.

Not necessarily. In this particular instance, opposition isn't what it appears to be.

One state decided to make photo ID’s mandatory to vote. The usual suspects (Donkeys) said it was unfair to the poor because they'd have to pay a fee. The ID was free.

The opposition said the poor didn't have a way to get to the issuing agency. The writers of the bill said that if transportation was required, the voter could be picked up and dropped off to get the ID for free.

The opponents then said that some poor people would not apply for the free photo ID, with free transportation because — get ready — these poor potential voters did not trust the government agency issuing the photo ID. These poor potential voters thought there was some nefarious plot behind having a photo ID to vote.

Of course there was a nefarious plot behind a photo ID — you cannot be a Donkey (or RINO) and commit vote fraud through the use of multiple bogus registrations at different locations. Duh!

So who’s paying the hotel bill?

I would think it would be illegal to not report that, since by now it’s got to be over $1,000 each.

I know the history of the Indiana effort to require photo IDs. Went to the Supreme Court, right? There's no reason to think the Democrats will fail to drag things through the courts in this or any other case.

Still, Indiana can provide free photo IDs to people ~ but on the state end of the deal that requires "money". Wisconsin will have the same problem.

BTW, reading through their constitution last evening I noticed it was still the one they worked out in 1823 making it among the oldest 3 or 4 in use. All they've done is add to it.

Indiana's Constitution is much more recent ~ the state went bankrupt before the Civil War so they wrote a new one. It's been revised/replaced since. Interesting that Wisconsin's 1823 Constitution has proved to be as inadequate as Indiana's constitution of the same early period ~ in fending off state bankruptcy.

Must have some elemental flaws!

They did dispatch Troopers to go to the homes of some of the missing Democrats.

Obviously the troopers don't have jurisdiction in Illinois ~ but who does? Certainly not the people who live there.
