In a word - yes. Watch for them to change the federal gas tax to a percentage instead of a fixed fee per gallon.

A couple of years ago I looked up the gas tax structure by state, and Illinois and California were already the leaders in gas tax per PRICE (rather than per gallon). Pelosi was loving the high gas prices WHILE she was accosting Bush over them. Gas prices and the stock market crash were major deciding factors in Nov. 2010. When gas prices fell after 2008, I knew they had to be hurting in tax revenue. This is the payoff for taking the hit in gas tax revenue for putting King Hussein of Amerika in power.
