After months of turbulence at CNNs Parker Spitzer, the network will drop co-host Kathleen Parker from the show, according to sources and a memo released to CNN staff. Eliot Spitzer will continue with the show.
According to CNN chief Ken Jautz, the new show will be solo-anchored by Spitzer and an ensemble format of contributors and be called In the Arena. The new show debuts Monday. Heres the memo:
I want to share with you some news today regarding our 8pm show. Kathleen Parker has decided to leave the program to focus on her writing, and we have decided to take the show in a new direction. We will be adopting an ensemble format with several newsmakers, guests and contributors joining Eliot Spitzer each night. The new program will be called, In the Arena, beginning Monday. E.D. Hill and Will Cain will join the program as well others within and outside the CNN family.

LV, superb reply. Well Done! I had a nice chuckle upon seeing Sir John in the photo.
I forgot all about Hill. Why did she leave Fox? She wasn’t very good at all. She was sort of silly and I just can’t take that in a news person man or woman. Also that Kiren chetree or whatever her name is . Why did she leave? She spoke faster than a race car speed and she was too flittery. Did she go to CNN as well? Yipes....
Fame, notariety and publicity power are very powerful things. In the end, she was an ideological whore for same.
Just caught your reply. Thank you. You are too kind.
