WASHINGTON (AP) With global food prices rising and more corn being diverted to the production of ethanol fuel, Bill Clinton is warning of food riots in poor nations.
The former president told farmers and Agriculture Department employees on Thursday that while producing biofuels is important for reducing America's dependence on foreign oil, farmers should also look beyond domestic production and consider the needs of developing countries.
"I think the best thing to say is we have to become energy independent, but we don't want to do it at the cost of food riots," Clinton said.

I have some past experience with ‘too much ethanol’ - usually passed out before I could spark any riots... ;)

I wish I could ask Bill some questions. And they would revolve around what he did for eight years to make us more energy independent.
I always wonder about former politicians making speeches like this. They get out there and say, we should do this, our policies should be this and that, etc. Well, it always begs the question to me, namely, what did Bill Clinton do in terms of energy policy, to move us towards the goals he’s talking about????

Holy Shiite! Bill Clinton shut his mouth long enough to learn something about Free Markets. Will wonders never cease!

Why is this fat tub of lard still in the news? Oh, I remember. It's because he's the most credible source of information in the entire demoRat party. More credible even than the potus.
How freaking sad is that? Sad, that is, that the demoRatic party still exists.

Green Zealots starve third world poor people by pushing their Mythanol.
Our cost of food is starting to skyrocket due to the cost of gas/diesil and what remains of our remaining electrical power thanks to the Green Killers and their head thugs, the 0b0z0 and his green czar thugs.

It must be global warming that is affecting his brain like this. If Clinton lived about 275 more years and the earth’s temperature rose about 6 degrees, one could reasonably give Bill Clinton the benefit of the doubt on some issues. As it is, any truthful statements he may accidentally make stand out like sore thumbs.

What ever happened to switchgrass? I thought this was to be the crop of choice for the production of ethanol. What happened?

Bill, there is a little secret I want to let you in on. Up until 1950, the United States was energy independent. Why is that...

Bill Clinton is in the news because he is avoiding any contact with the failed, anti-American, POTUS Barack Hussein Obama. Old Billy Boy Clinton knows a loser when he sees one and he does not want to be anywhere near Obama and his “kiss of political death”!!! Hillary Clinton is not looking too good these days either. She looks like she wants to vomit anytime she is around the failed, America hater POTUS Obama!!!
To: Palmetto Patriot
Just find a way to throw obama and the dems out of power, and many of our problems will begin to be corrected.
Democrats = CORRUPTED
Conservatives = CORRECTED.
