Yeah and you could end up buzzard food before finding work. When unions actually sold themselves in the market, that was the market giving them the nod. Today’s embedment of unions in law is unnatural.

Well, gee, how did my great grandparents, on both sides, do it? They all somehow bought some farm land in Illinois and Iowa and made it work. Straight off the boats from Scotland and England. The next generation a lot of them were teachers, by coincidence. They somehow put themselves through college and got teaching degrees. Before he got a teaching job granddad moved to Keota CO to work in his uncle's hardware store then got a job teaching in Keota.

The other side left their farm in Illinois and crossed the Missouri in a wagon to make a go in the Sand Hills of NE. Some distant relatives still have farms all over Cherry county NE.

If there aren't any jobs worth a darn where you are you pick up move even if you have to walk.

Well that’s the biz sweetheart... and so were unions back when they sold themselves to enough people in a free market to actually operate. Neither alternative should be forbidden, neither alternative should be forced in law upon private enterprise. Right-to-work would make almost all private unions wither away. If they survive in some niches, so be it — that’s what the market wants.

They shouldn’t even be allowed to exist in the public sector. FDR, that old liberal, knew better than that.

We’ve been Waiting for Superman. Is this the beginning of his arrival? Let’s pray that it is for our children’s future.

Alright. I can’t disagree with all that. I just think unions are for wimpy losers I’m not saying they shouldn’t be allowed in the private sector. People have a right to be useless whiners.

I can’t find the video of what happened in the Assembly a few hours ago on the vote. Can you tell me where on that site it’s located?

Thank you.

Ya gotta give the rats props for chutzpah. The congressional pubs didn’t even get to offer amendments on Obathturd’s Deathcare. They were literally locked out when the had the majority. Now, in WI, they are squealing like stuck pigs even though they actually got to be heard.

“The minority (Menshevik) did not want Communism but they were outshouted by the majority (Bolshevik).”

Yes. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think I’ve read somewhere that the commies were actually in the minority and
were thus the true mensheviks. They merely called themselves
“the majority”.

Kind of like what we see going on around us here.

Pray for their spines staying straight as well. WI has become the bellwether for this subject, and it’s huge.

My worry since I learned the bill passed in the Assembly is that it can’t now be separated in the Senate. Is that true? Your post to me seems to suggest that. If that is the case, then it seems like they shot themselves in the foot by passing the entire bill in the Assembly.

This is a legislative matter. I doubt that the courts would even hear it. The pubs have discussed taking that step the myriad of times what happened tonight was done to them. The courts won’t get involved so they don’t even file. The rats would have no constitutional argument because it’s not a constitutional question. It’s a parliamentary rules issue.
