I think that the Gipper would have loved Sarah Palin, but I know one thing for certain: He’d have not spent one waking moment tearing her down. He’d have spoken positively about HIS candidate instead. Bob

Huck would mostly take votes from Palin. I think if he is out, she’s in. Huck will never be ayting but a spoiler. He’s either first in people’s (evangelists’) minds, or near dead last. He’d not defeat anyone one on one. I see big money coming his way soon from Romney supporters. Bob

I like Sarah, but I love Michele. If either got the nomination, that one would have my vote. I will not vote for a RINO though. I’ll sit home on the couch, or possibly vote third party, depending.

Look. I think Michele Bachmann is a fine person and a fine candidate (in every sense). Maybe she is the best in the field. That’s why we run the campaigns. If we go through the primaries and she makes it out as the nominee, that’s great. I’d have no problem supporting her. If you’re voting for her because you think she’s the best, great. But if you’re voting for her because you want Sarah Palin with a brain, etc., etc....really, just go ahead and vote for Sarah Palin. I think some folks on both sides truly have fallen under the misapprehension they’re going to be running against Tina Fey’s Palin caricature from SNL instead of the real thing.

Ye, and like Hannity, the more she opens her mouth, the more repetitious and mundane she becomes.

The office of the President is a popularity contest. Palin ,like Reagan is a very popular person and is the person to run against obama. No other GOP candidate even comes to having the appeal of Palin. This is the reason that the democratic party has not let up on their attacks on her, she is their number one threat against obama.

Well, Palin was refreshing at first - homey and down to earth - but now she has handlers - reminds me of the Redford movie “The Candidate” - a liberal candidate, of course, but none the less - the story is the same as Palin’s in so many ways - she’s been packaged - she is now going to India for a visit - I suppose visiting foreign countries provides international experience in some strange way.

I simply want her to go away and have a nice life - her fifteen minutes were up a long time ago.

Pissant, crap like this is “drinking the Koolaid”. There are “party activists” who think that ROMNEY must be the nominee. So what ?

The arrticle was written for one purpose - to continue the left’s crapping on Sarah Palin. Oh, and let’s not forget the RINOs crapping on her too. It’s very important to get an unelectable RINO nominated.

Excellent observation.

Me thinks the Palin-hating “conservatives” doth protest too much.

Sarah will soon fade, just like Rush. lol It ain’t happening. Yes, I’m concerned about the relentless vitriol that will be spewed upom her as the nominee. But this insanity will be heaped upon ANY Republian who wins. I want someonewho can take it, and dish out better than she gets, and Sarah Palin has proven to be that person. Palin/Rubio ‘12! Bob

Advise you to back off Palin and back off about the womens’ right to vote. Either back off or I give the green light to the mods to zot your account on the next offense. I’m the last defender you have on FR and you’re beginning to piss me off too.

hey buddy, you called me a loser. and made it sound like i don’t care for my own family. That is not true.

I was only explaining the reason why I put my education on hold.

I have a right to defend myself and other conservatives.

Doesn't matter. Congresspersons don't get elected president. Governors and former governors do. Make Bachmann VP if you want.

Having West as her running mate would bring in a minimum of another 5 % of the black vote, who knows maybe more.

8% of blacks already vote Republican. My guess is that having West on the ticket would bring even more of the black vote. Perhaps not all that much, given that Obama will likely be running as the incumbent, but West would surely attract more blacks voters to our side.

Actually that`s what I said :) I said he would bring in ANOTHER min of 5% of the black vote, maybe more. So you add the 8 already + the 5 and that`s 13% but I think we could do better than 13% of the black vote with West on the bottom of the ticket.

GW Bush got 12% of the black vote in either 2000 or 2004, I believe it was 2004? But he did get 12% once, so really I am thinking 20% of the black vote could be something to shoot for?

West is a good man, is pro life etc, just saying there would be a political upside as well.

“Senators really don’t run anything except bills to the hopper. Representatives are alomost never elected President. There is a reason that Pence is going to run for Governor.”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Historically it has been extremely difficult to go from sitting senator to president which makes me wonder exactly how much rigging went into the making of the Obama presidency. When it came down to the wire it was a choice between a republican senator and a democrat senator. Even the democrat primary was a contest between a white woman and a “black” man, both senators.
