I am glad for this on some counts, still, the evil of making safe abortion centers is repellent.

It’s like health and safety requirements at Auschwitz.

Please thank Democrat Senators Colgan and Puckett for voting with Republicans, so this bill would pass...

Kinda odd to see the liberals argue that medical clinics shouldn’t be THAT safe.

If you miscarry at any stage, they have to take you to the hospital to remove the baby. They cannot do it in the doctors office unless the baby is alive.

FRC Praises Virginia State Senate for Adopting Safer Abortion Clinic Standards
February 24, 2011

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Family Research Council President Tony Perkins today praised the Virginia State Senate for adopting safer health standards for abortion clinics.

As a Louisiana state representative, Perkins authored a law in 1999 that held abortion clinics to the same standards as other medical facilities. The legislature overwhelmingly passed the law after a woman nearly died from an abortion performed in Baton Rouge.

Family Research Council Tony Perkins made the following comments:

“The Virginia State Senate took a significant step today toward protecting women’s health at abortion clinics. If we cannot accept sub-standard care that would jeopardize women’s health in other areas, such as post-natal care, we cannot accept it from abortion clinics.

“We urge the governor to quickly sign this legislation which places women’s health above politics. Dr. Kermit Gosnell’s practice is an example of what can happen in states where basic standards are not enforced by health authorities. Gosnell’s grisly practice of killing infants and tormenting women will stand as one of the most horrific discoveries in Pennsylvania state history. This millionaire doctor raked in $15,000 a day - more than enough money to afford clean equipment and a trained staff. But, like so much of the abortion industry, his business wasn’t about caring for women or vaccinating children. It was about profit.

“Everyone, including abortion facility operators, should be able to agree that abortion clinics should not operate with less oversight than veterinary clinics, as they do in many states. Women deserve much better,” concluded Perkins.

Unreal! These HIGH profit butcher shops have almost no regulation? People actually voted against requiring some regulations and sanitary standards!

Abortion Clinic Safety bill passes VA Senate!!!

Considering the mortality rate among people who enter abortion mills as patients (about 50% - primarily the younger half of their patients), it's about time they made these disgusting places safer.

If Obama is in typical form, look for VA to be sued.

The fedgov logic:

We need to have lower standards and practices so that more women will have greater access to safer and cleaner abortion facilities. (I didn’t say it would make sense.)

“Better health standards?” What screwy terminology we use, when one out of two patients don’t come out of the clinic alive.

It certainly is curious to see so many dems fighting against regulating an industry out of existence.

I suspect the “coathanger in a back alley” discouraged a lot of mothers and saved a lot of children. Make murder upleasant and dangerous for the murderer, and you save a lot of lives.

So I say let these death houses remain filthy, unsanitary places. Let these mothers - who hate their children enough to kill them - see what a death house looks like.

Perhaps some will realize what it really is they’re plotting, and will be shocked back to their senses. And those that don’t, well, let them die for murdering their children.

Why don’t all the other myriad of laws concerning healthcare safety apply to these places?

We are almost at the point where leftist vermin will legalize the killing of toddlers and young children. They are already tolerate full-fledged infanticide and someone who kills a 2 year old can get out in 25. A well-known attorney general can protect a brutal child rapist and still keep her job.

This is only going to get worse, unimaginably worse, until every last leftist lies dead.

How soon will there be a stay issued by a liberal judge? These people (if they even deserve that word) will not abide ANY restriction on their supreme right to take unborn life. This is even after the Roe v. Wade ruling said that states have the authority to regulate on health and safety concerns.

Abortion Safety

Isn't that an oxymoron? Safe for whom? Certainly not the innocent baby.
