I don’t get it:
Who is revolting in Libya? Is it not an Islamic Revolution which means bearded mullahs want to take power? If that’s the case, are we the USA not better off with the Col. K in power?

**even more reason to put boots on the ground to protect those citizens....**
OFuhrer is preparing.. he will be sending a platoon of LAWYERS with affadavits and Court petitions.
His backup plan will be more dangerous... Sending SEIU agents to assist in quelling the violence..

President Palin is leading because Obama is unable or unwilling to. '12 can't come soon enough.
God bless you, Gov Palin.

It's a fair question.
Since Gadaffi went all Ceausescu on his own people he cannot be allowed to stay. There's no way the West can support him
But a popular uprising will or has already been co-opted by the fanatics. Given Lybia's (sp) zero history of Government By The People, plus its people's colossal ignorance and illiteracy the best pragmatic answer would be a new strong man: someone less gibberingly insane than Gadaffi who could preside over some or all of Libya and bring in legal and land reforms (protection of property etc).
What the West could bring to such a scenario is prompt recognition of the new guy, contracts etc. And maybe help find the guy in the first place. What the West cannot do is 'nothing', and just hope it all works out.

I have said this before, Yes she is the True POTUS but sadly doesn't have the Legal (your mileage may vary) status of Obama.

"So, I have mixed feelings here." So do I. "Days of rage" sounds too much like something our own leftists would say. I'd really like to know who the people fighting the Libyan regime really are, lest we find ourselves replacing a partly anti-American abomination with a completely anti-American abomination. Remember, Muslims have a very simple, direct concept of an Islamic constitution--an absolutely totalitarian Caliphate that recognizes no human rights.

“What about the tens of thousands of American citizens in Libya?”
I expect most of them are already gone, and I doubt there are tens of thousands to begin with. US companies don't have a significant presence in Libya. Many times more Italians.

"put boots on the ground to protect those citizens...."
Evacuate them but no forces on the ground. That would give both sides an excuse to turn on us as a common enemy
Remember Somalia.

yeah I remember. I also remember we killed about 1,500 to their 18.
You need a firebase that American citizens can flee too and be gotten out of the country. After they are gone the marines go off the coast.
Without the force on the ground the citizens are in danger of any and all thugs.
You remember IRAN 1979 US embassy?

Another example of hyper-palinism....pretending that:
A. The EU heads of state and NATO commanders are palin FB friends, and...
B. These Euro-socialists are basing their military actions on those same FB posts.

IMO this is the first screw up by Palin. Supporting mobs
is skating on thin ice. Especially when they're Islamists.
