We’re at a Ronald Reagan moment. The air traffic controllers were CERTAIN he wouldn’t dare fire them, but he called their bluff. Any thinking parent should be outraged by the awful example given by teachers as they resorted to a tactic they would severely punished if a student were caught doing it. The stupidity of these teachers has given Walker some very helpful leverage.

By their act of stupidity the teachers have, in a very real sense, betrayed the public trust.

They have allowed union thugs and other political activists to become a component of their relationship with the taxpayers. That unavoidably includes exposing the taxpayer's children to the proposition that mob street tactics are an acceptable alternative to orderly processes.

What thinking parent will now believe that their children can return to a classroom environment free of any political influence?

IMO, the stupidity of the teachers is displayed by letting themselves be useful idiots for the union bosses.
