Remember that public-sector strikes are illegal in Wisconsin; its why a few doctors have been holding open-air clinics in Madison to give out notes excusing protestors from work. Unions in Madison now propose to drop the pretense and declare wildcat strikes if the legislature passes the budget-repair bill that will limit collective bargaining and transform the public sector workplace into open shops:
If Gov. Scott Walker and Republicans pass a budget repair bill that restricts union rights, labor groups in Madison said they would endorse the entire of a general strike of unions around the state.
The South Central Federation of Labor endorsed the idea of a strike at its meeting Monday night, but they didnt call for a strike, since members said they dont have the power to do so.
There are a couple of caveats to this movement, however. First, the unions want assurances from locals outside of Madison that they will follow suit. If other locals have the same kind of suicidal enthusiasm, then the strike will move forward. If not, then this is just talk.

What happened? I remember HD was going to close up in WI unless the union gave concessions. I am not sure what you are talking about. Thanks.
Oh yeah. Go for it.
Take it out on everyone why don’tcha?
With sympathy protests all over the country today, Democrat legislators fleeing their offices, and protesters outside FOX, it's clear that a union-organized assault on the nation is underway.
It isn't hard to connect the dots, given that Trumpka "talks to the White House" every day.
A general strike seems like a logical next step.
This is going to go over worse than national health. They're doubling down on disaster.
Remember how depressed we were at Odumbo's inaugural? Who would have thought that the rats would be imploding just 2-1/2 years later?
Never give up.
I’m keeping the faith, my friend, that conservative principles in clear alignment with traditional American ideals and values will ultimately prevail.
I’d be stocking up some groceries if I lived up there.
I believe the numbers were 175,000 public sector employees and 96,000 teachers, hmmmmmmmm didn’t Governor Walker say he would create 250,000 jobs? I’m just sayin’

The union gave concessions. H-D stayed.
Thanks. I think Harley said they were going to move and shut down the factory in WI. Harley is in a semi-world of pain as aging baby boomers are going to worried about food and shelter over trying to look cool on a Harley. I think the local one closed.
