Thomas Jefferson knew how to take care of pirates. In 1804 he sent the Navy and Marines in to take care of the Barbary pirates off the shores of Tripoli. Where is TJ when we need him?
We are within our rights to try those pirates before the mast and hang them from the yardarm. Instead we’ll bring them back for photo-ops. When I was a kid, treason and piracy were the two things you DID NOT DO because they would bring certain death. Now they’re winked at. How can this be?
