A new memoir from an embittered former aide to Sarah Palin includes a trove of emails that vividly illustrate her intense focus on image and depiction in the media.
The emails, apparently from the former Alaska governor, portray Palin as nearly obsessed with her political adversaries and consumed with every slight, real or perceived.

The only part I read was the purported email about the story that Track was not Todd's son. I would have been a touch peeved, myself, in her place.
As others have pointed out before me, it seems that an inordinate amount of the attention focused on Mrs. Palin and her family seems to be rather sex-obsessed. It's all rather unsavory and juvenile from my point of view.
You need to also “hate” Huckabee for covering up his son torturing and killing a dog when he was about 17.
Sounds like just the one to crush our enemies, see them driven before her, and listen to the lamentations of their women.
Ineluctable.
That is so inconsistent with her public persona. It is very in keeping with those of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama who expect to be loved by everyone.
This book will be good for Sarah, and good for the country. She needs to practice and scrimmage and play some more pre-season games. She’s barely more experienced that the current miserable unpresidential failure, if yer askin’ me. Her response(s) will tell us more about her.
“It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.” -that idiot Biden, 20 October ‘08
Indeed. Hee hee heee.
The media can find e-mails, you tube videos, comments, college grades,a BIRTH CERTIFICATE or any remark ever uttered by Sarah Palin and will publicly air them with the obligatory 2 hour news analysis from talking heads on MSNBC/CNN etc.
Yet, the same media are very quiet about President Obama’s past.
Isn’t it ironic??
Yeah, they’re always trying for the next attack. Astounding they find so much to attack Palin and don’t want to discuss the negative with Obama and the other Demonrats. No agenda there, right?! They are a joke and just have nothing else and this is not going to stop her or slow her down. The media is digging their grave.
The author, Frank Bailey is described as "the quintessential disgruntled employee who had been denied senior jobs he sought, cut out of Palins vice presidential campaign, and been caught up in the Troopergate scandal.
Now there's an unimpeachable source, for you. And as for Bailey's "co-authors": Jeanne Devon is the publisher of an anti-Palin website (Mudflats), and a hardcore Leftist blogger who writes for both the Nation and The Huffington Post.
Ken Morris is a vicious Palin critic, as well as a former silver-spoon investment bank scumbag, who is now a full-blown left-wing "Progressive".
I myself am not the world's biggest Palin supporter, but she and her family deserve a lot better than this sort of garbage.
“You need to also hate Huckabee for covering up his son torturing and killing a dog when he was about 17.”
I did find it interesting that in early 2008, Palin was supporting Huckabee, according to these emails.

unsavory and juvenileThe MSM in a nutshell.
Just noticed:
Ben Smith/Andy Barr
Wow. It takes 2 of these geniuses to fabricate this hit-piece.
Did they take adequate hug-breaks while working on this together?
I admit I didn’t read the entire article.
But if this were true, she never would have hooked up with crooked McCain because this is going to dog her should she run for president.
I like your approach. Maybe I’ll get a bumper sticker: “Re-Elect Palin in 2016”
Not true. It's quite consistent with her public persona. One of Palin's problems is precisely that she responds to things that are better left alone, and as a result she prolongs them.
Case in point: Last fall she had made an embarrassing slip of the tongue concerning Korea, and was made fun of. Well, that's the price of being a politician -- reporters look for good gaffes, and they report on them.
Most people's moms taught them early on that the right response is to smile, nod, acknowledge the misstatement, correct the record, and move on.
Instead, we're treated to her embarrassing Message to All 57 States posting on Facebook -- an immature diatribe, the main effect of which was a signal to the media that all they have to do, is make fun of her and they'll get a response.
Riiiiight.
Some people here really are willing to believe anything bad about her, no matter how absurd.
Sarah Palin thinks that she has enemies? She must be delusional, surely. Bob
It may not be shocking, but if true it would disqualify her from being President.
