VAIL — First lady Michelle Obama enjoyed locally grown fare at a Vail restaurant Saturday night before hitting the slopes of Vail Mountain early Sunday.
Obama and her two daughters, 9-year-old Sasha and 12-year-old Malia — together with some family friends — are spending the Presidents Day holiday weekend in Vail. President Obama did not make the trip.
The first lady went to Restaurant Kelly Liken in Vail Village on Saturday night, dining on a pickled pumpkin salad with arugula and a braised ancho-chile short rib with hominy wild mushrooms and sauteed kale.
“Yes, it's true, the first lady dined at our restaurant tonight and seemed to really enjoy it,” chef and owner Kelly Liken said.

I wonder how many of her wealthy friends she brought with her this time, on the taxpayer's dime.
I'm glad I'm not skiing at Vail. I'll bet they closed down the whole slope to everyone else while she was on the mountain. That's generally what the Obamas do.

If she/they were just “suggesting” that you shouldn’t eat this way all the time, just in moderation (like they do),
and we didn’t understand the left’s propensity to make everything a matter of law/force,
it’d be a different story when she had great big greasy rack o’ ribs.
A person can work up a hell of an appetite telling other people how to live their lives all day.
I so admire those who dedicate their lives to helping others.
Other that the fact that she’s on vacation, at taxpayer expense, AGAIN, I don’t see a problem here...

The problem is obvious.
The left always uses the force of law to make you behave (eat) as they want you to,
and never comply themselves, because of their elitist attitude - THEY can eat in moderation, YOU can’t, and must be forced to eat salad and tofu.
