Hmmmm....so far, much of the Gulf is relatively calm. Bahrain is the only one in the region that has had protests, so far.

Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar aren't making much noise.

Yet.

Iraq is calm and just a spectator. For now.

Per alJzr-English,

jets had several military officers who immediately turned themselves over to Maltese officials. They said aircraft were out of fuel.

Also, 2 helo's landed in Malta, said to contain some French oil officials who fled Lybia. They did not even have passports, as they left in such a hurry.

Any that I’ve missed?

Kuwait and Sudan have both put down protests in the last couple of weeks.

I just might live in the free-est country in the Middle East.

Two Libyan fighter jets have landed unexpectedly in Malta, witnesses say. The Mirage jets were seen landing at Malta’s international airport on Monday afternoon. The Maltese foreign ministry said it was trying to establish why the planes had landed.

Just a pit stop for a couple six-packs and a few hot young goats.

I was thinking the same thing. We get more 'objective' news from foreign sources than from US news channels.

Imagine what all we actually missed before the Internet. No wonder the governments want a shut-off button for it.

The Amerikan Publik still thinks this was a great victory for Obama, peaceful, happy, happy, joy, joy.

They (The MSM) don’t want to spoil the after glow. They also still think this was about Secular Dumbocracy and free elections.

Well, I don’t think we are paying off Qadaffi. Reagan bombed his palace and killed a couple of his sons, as I recall. And Bush threatened to do it again if he didn’t stop development on nuclear weapons, with the help of Pakistan. Qadaffi agreed, and ceased the nuclear development.

We do buy Libyan oil, which leftists would blame on Bush and Co. But it’s the leftists who have blocked power development in our own country for the past 25 or 30 years, especially nuclear power. We wouldn’t have to buy their oil if we had sufficient sources of our own. Obama is working hard to make is MORE dependent on these countries.

The problem is that these are 9th century hell holes. And there has NEVER been a Democratic country among the Arab nations in all of history, because Islam doesn’t permit it. Islam teaches that there is no such thing as free will. The only Arab country that had any Democracy was Lebanon, where the Christians formed a coalition government with the Muslims. But Syria moved in and extinguished that. The freest countries are ruled by Sheikhs—which is OK as long as you don’t ever cross their rules.
