Governor of Mississippi Haley Barbour praises Islamic Relief, less than two weeks after the Israeli government labeled the group a Hamas front and deported Islamic Relief's head of Gaza operations, Ayaz Ali, for "funneling money" to Hamas.

I would like the proof, too.
I don’t know anything about mosques in the state either. I don’t remember ANY from my childhood, but I’ve been away for half my life. Maybe I will have to ask my brother if he knows of any. The only thing I remember about Muslims in MS is the Obama friend’s followers handing out newspapers to black people only at intersections. I can’t even think of the guy’s name. Ah, yes, Farakhan.
Makes him a target.
Doubt any are hotbeds for Islamic recruiting, it is freakin’ Mississippi.

As far as Haley “ignoring” it, what is he ignoring, that we have Muslim professors at the universities? That there a few small mosques and maybe a couple of recruiting places. What is he supposed to about that that perhaps the state and federal authorities aren't doing, get on TV each day and give away the status of the investigations etc?
Yeah, the guy who pulled us through Katrina, has helped keep the poorest state in the union running reasonably well and done a pretty decent job all around is failing to do what again? The feds JOB (again)? He did that for Katrina, so maybe folks have some sort of expectations...
Priorities and perspective folks. (BTW DC2000 not directed at you...)
“You don’t know the first damned thing about me.”
I’ve read your posts for years.
“Take your broad brush and ...”
And...what?
I live in close proximity to what is considered to be the most radical mosque in the country. Too, we have the Portland Seven, one of whom was an executive with Intel, another who was on the Portland mayor’s staff, and one a woman. Then, there’s the terroist training camp they tried to set up south of me.
Hardly the stuff one would find in Mississippi.
Some folks just don’t like Haley, and will go to any lengths to malign him.
No...Kaufman is inflammatory.
If you have been reading my posts for years as you allege, then you should know better. It is a fact that Mr. Barbour is on record as saying he thought it was perfectly OK to use eminent domain to take property for an automobile plant. I was not commenting on Mr. Barbour’s lobbying activities.
