According to one source, reported in The Sunday Times newspaper, sensitive parts of her body were covered in red marks that were originally thought to have been bite marks.

After further examination they were revealed to be from aggressive pinching.

And medical sources have revealed  that marks on her body were consistent with being whipped and beaten with the makeshift poles that were used to fly flags during the demonstration.

The Media never lie!

Isn't this just about the ultimate sarcasm?

Actually, they hardly ever tell the truth on sensitive political issues.

You respect them and their definition of a prostitute, do you?

You are projecting falsely. Why?

I do not believe that Benchim was kidding and I agree. Poor decision to let her in there. People like you who think the rest of the world shares US values and sensitivities are the issue. You go in the lions den you get attacked simple as that.

"The meida [sic] is our enemy."

Are you just now arriving at that conclusion? The media has been our enemy for 50 years at least. Also, the media will not report anything that does not advance their agenda.

Their agenda? The destruction of the united States. The destruction of personal freedom and personal responsibility. The destruction of capitalism. The destruction of Christanity. The feminization of boys and men. The masclination of women and girls. One World Socialists Government. The advancement and promotion of islam. The advancement and promotion of every degenerate and perverse sex act known to mankind[ and some that haven't been thought of yet].

To sum it up, the media is for the advancement and promotion of everything a reprobate mind can image. And it is against and is for the destruction of everything that is good and decent. .

Muslims love it when people cower before them - all thugs do. Did you encourage your daughter to give her lunch money to the school bullies too?

Yeah! Just like that girl who just got killed riding the bull! It was her own damned fault! (/sarc)

The woman was a journalist doing her job.

I think Matt's post 75 says why I think freepers blaming her disgust me.

He's a writer and says it pithier and more concisely than can I.

By the logic shown here if it's dangerous then it's always the victim's fault and hence why show sympathy.

That logic would apply to:

Soldiers

Cops

Firemen

Powerline Workers

Underwater welders

Cropdusters

etc

Bottomline posts like your’s and Benchim and Disgusting Cat smell of selective outrage or maybe something darker.

Like I said if Kimberly Guilfoyle or Julie Banderas...both women I love...had been reporting there and been attacked by a mob of moon rock worshipping lower level primates and had their clothes ripped from them, groped, fondled, beaten, God knows what else including up to possible gang rape and sodomy...by a mob of 200 for an extended period of time....all the while screaming about her being a “Jew”...which she isn't.

Would you and others still be saying she asked for it because after all they are Muzzies and mean to girls and volatile and all that...and she shoulda known better...it's her fault

Danny Pearl...another fool right..why how dare him be reporting Pakistan...why shucks..he deserved to have his head sawed off by those weirdos...what was he thinking right?

What really disgusts me is that all these shameful posts condemning her and appearing to excuse the perps as just nutjobs have been allowed to stand.

I've seen far less toxic stuff here get zotted and the posters gone forever...

btw..if you and others withold sympathy as a rule from victims unless what has happened to them is 100% random then suit yourself but it doesn't wear well on you

As a woman, I would say that blaming the woman for being raped is rather outdated...wouldn’t you?

She had security, and they were overwhelmed. I don’t think that anyone could have anticipated such a reaction during a celebration.

Yes...personal responsiblility is involved, but she had a job to do, and she did it to the best of her abilities.

Frankly, I don’t like her. She’s a homewrecker, and I don’t have much respect for her at all.

However, she didn’t deserve this treatment.

Oh, just damn. No one is saying she deserved it. It is this straw man “point” you two seem to be making again and again that I just don’t get.

The world is rarely as black and white as you and wardaddy seem to see it. “Blame the woman for being raped”? No. I fully recognize that this culture and the mob is responsible for the vast bulk of the blame for this event as I clearly stated. But to say “I don’t think that anyone could have anticipated such a reaction during a celebration” puts us squarely in bliss-ninny land. Many commentators had noted the almost complete male domination of the mobs involved in events in Egypt. Anyone paying attention to events of the last 10 years should know something about female genital mutilation, a practice which goes to the heart of how Egyptian men see woman, and a practice which 50%-90% of Egyptian woman have undergone. These facts, in combination with the complete lack of esteem in which Muslim men hold women, especially uncovered Western woman, should have had everyone involved’s warning klaxons and flashers going full tilt.

So the idea that this woman and her handlers thought she would be able to traipse around this mob with unarmed “security” (not worth spit, and so she could do her precious job, which is just not so critical it required she be on the scene), when other male reporters had already been been attacked (Anderson Cooper) and even thrashed within an inch of their lives (Greg Palkot and sidekick), is just absurd on the face of it.

Look, I’m as critical of this culture as anyone. My tagline would seem to make this pretty clear. But you don’t tempt fate by doing things likely to have a really bad outcome unless you have a burning desire to serve as a great example of what not to do. And I refuse to see recognizing this and criticizing her for it as the egregious breech of protocol you and wardaddy do, while recognizing that the real underlying problem is the whole culture in that part of the world. As I clearly do.

Personally, I think she got too used to being under the umbrella of U.S. military protection in Iraq and made a really, really bad and stupid assessment and action. And no amount of attempted browbeating with your “you are saying she deserved it” straw man is going to change that.

And Steyn seems to see it somewhat like I do. While blaming the culture of Islam, he also criticizes those who sent her in there for their cluelessness about the local culture.

see, it’s possible to have a sense of common sense with out being, in your words, a rapist-apologist.

While you scan and, “pucker”, make sure you catch post 50....

These women are IDIOTS for demanding to go over there.

You make some very good points...thank you.

Just call me a “bliss-ninny” or a “pollyanna”, because sometimes I am. ;o)
