When I think of these public employees receiving $57.00 for every dollar they contribute to their pensions; it makes me furious.
That’s our money; not theirs and I want it back.

These people act like they’re being required to donate a kidney. Sheesh!
It’s all Obama’s gang doing the incitement.
Impeach the dick-tater.

Good. I suggest everyone just step aside and let these goons make complete asses of themselves, all by themselves.
If Gov. Walker holds firm, they will squeal and squirm themselves into oblivion.
Their only representation in the matter, is AWOL. The union is not going to affect anything, as it's the union Walker is holding firm against.
They have nothing but the party-time pizza eaters shivering in the cold and carrying nasty little signs...not a very formidable foe.
The Governor at the GOP Senators are inside, nice, cozy, and warm with enough quorum to pass a lot of different bills the "fleebagers" are not going to like.
You can't fix stupid.

And here I thought the State Union President was performing miracles speaking thousands of “sick” teachers, so ill that for several days they couldn’t even work, So ill that physicians attending the rally could immediately determine that they were on near death-bed sick, healing these teachers by merely speaking them back to health.
I was ready to call the Vatican.
One nice thing we did learn though, the teachers don’t need the health benefits they currently receive. Apparently they are perfectly happy to have a serious debilitating illness diagnosed by a total stranger while standing in an open parking lot.
This should be a model for government employees.

Where were these kinds of teachers when I was a kid?
The teachers when I was a kid NEVER missed a day! I would have loved to get a week off in the middle of a semester!

http://www.madison.k12.wi.us/calendar Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 21 & 22, 2011 Due to substantial concerns about significant staff absences in Madison, the Madison School District is again forced to close all of our schools to students on Monday, February 21, 2011. However, we have received assurances that staff members will return to work on Tuesday, February 22. Therefore, all Madison School District schools will be open to students on Tuesday and will resume with their regular daily schedule. We understand that managing a fourth day off will be a significant hardship for families and do appreciate your tolerance in these unusual times. We are heartened that schools will be open on Tuesday. Despite closing to students on Monday, all MMSD staff members are expected to report to work. We will continue to communicate with you on any new developments on this issue.

At what point can these teachers be fired, and who has the authority to do it?
Same question for wayward politicians.
To: milwguy
The state Senate only needs 17 for a quorum for non-spending bills.
- Banning public employee unions isn’t a spending bill.
Add it to the calendar and see how fast the Democrats get back to Madison.

Trust me. They have SO overplayed their hand! Everyone is sick to DEATH of them already...and it’s only been five days, LOL!
They’re toast. The teachers, the unions, the Democrats in this state...
Dead as doornails. Come Tuesday when we can clean up from the ice storm that is currently upon us, our Legislature, led by Governor Scott Walker, will be ‘ramming through’ everything and anything we can! Concealed Carry. Voter ID. Illegal alien legislation, etc. We only need 17 votes. We have 20! The ‘Rats don’t even NEED to show up for work on Tuesday, LOL! Life. Is. Good.
