I noticed in the paper the other day that a roller derby team has been formed here in the Abilene, Texas area- might be worthwhile to go and check out a “bout” (yep, that’s what they’re calling it :).

No chit! Ne Zot! I’m 44, and Francisco isn’t my grandson, if anyone is paying attention; he’s a late-in-life whoopsie. Anoreth has a LIFE, thank you very much.

The focus of the article is all WRONG! Instead of focusing on a roller derby, the article should focus on the harmful societal effects of her daughter being an unwed, teen mother!

I quickly skimmed the article and good for them. It sounds like they are having fun. The skating is probably good exercise.

Despite the claims in the article that Philly has the only Female Roller Derby, and as mimicked in that movie, Kansas City has a female roller derby league.

In my strange mind, I saw muslim roller derby women dressed in there normal full coverage outfits, sliding through the corners on skates.
