I’m with you there.

I quit watching years ago when all the restrictions and limits were put on the cars and the only difference became the paint.

Same with drag racing.

Man! I remember the days when Smokey put an inflated basketball in the gas tank! He then deflated it, and got in another gallon and a half of gas. He got caught though! Another time, NASCAR put in new fuel tank restrictions, so Smokey ran a big diameter fuel line back and forth, and back and forth, and got another couple of gallons just in the fuel line! Back then, things were fun!

Amen, brother.
On both types of racing.
I used to love the pro drags, but now I follow the IHRA rather than the NHRA.

+1, I used to go the Nats in Ennis every year but 1000 feet just ain't the same kind of drag racing. Drop the nitro percentage down or something, but drag racing was born to be 1320 feet.
