Looks like Rep. Gregory Meeks is running on a new campaign slogan: Viva Las Vegas!
As The Posts Isabel Vincent and Melissa Klein reported last Sunday, the Queens Democrat spends an awful lot of time in the gambling city, ostensibly raising funds for his political action committee.
Problem is, he has precious little to show for these outings.
In fact, Meeks spent more than $8,000 late last year on hotels and food in Sin City plus another $17,000 on fund-raising consultants but didnt report taking in a single penny.
Worse still, he isnt very forthcoming about the trips on his official financial-disclosure forms.
What we do know is that he spends very little of whatever cash he raises on political campaigns which is what PACs are supposed to be all about.
A lot more of it goes to Meeks cronies like a consulting firm founded by his campaign treasurer,..

I’m In A NY State of Corruption Ping
Amazing. :)
—wellll—we Nevadans appreciate the congressthing’s help in alleviating the unemployment problem-—
That’s racist! Don’t you know that Hurricane Katrina was entirely Bush’s fault?
EXCLUSIVE A congressional ethics probe centered on Meeks' financial-disclosure forms.... including failure to reveal his wife's sources of income -- a teaching job at Queens College where Simone-Marie Meeks earned $2,857 in 2008 as an adjunct. He never revealed she is a principal of the Lipscomb Lord Group set up in 1999 to do PR, event planning and advocacy work. The US Atty began is also investigating Meeks questionable finances of a charity he started with state Sen. Malcolm Smith.
