Pirates are now saying the yacht hijacked from a SoCal couple will make landfall in Somalia on Sunday, which may lessen the chance of a rescue at sea.
The pirates took control of the yacht Quest on Friday in the Arabian Sea off the coast of Somalia.
The Quest belongs to Jean and Scott Adam, two members of the Del Rey Yacht Club in Marina Del Rey. The Newport Beach couple has been sailing around the world since 2004 on their yacht, posting updates on their website. The trip was part adventure, part ministry, as they handed out Bibles along the way.
Two other Americans were captured along with Jean and Scott Adams, though they have not yet been identified.

It is way past time to put an end to this crap!
they are too stupid to be rescued
I believe the pirates will present the yacht to nobama as the new presidential yacht...and he will accept!
He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her.
Where is the video of the Russians tying the pirates to the ship and then blowing it all up.
These people seem to be missionaries and may be getting what they wanted.
May lessen? Dumbest sentence in the world.
He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her.
I feel pretty safe, I wouldn’t go in an enemies back yard and try to convert him
try that crap on someone else
“Too bad they aren’t SEIU or UAW members.”
Nah, they couldn’t be SEIU or UAW members, it takes more intelligence than they have to learn to navigate a boat!
But . . . but . . . but . . .
It's the religion of peace< /whine>
That would at least answer why they were off the coast of Somalia...
Somehow I doubt it..........
Quite sad that our American prestige is at such a low ebb, basically illiterate Islamic pirates rue the day.
Virtually any other president would have already resolved this issue with extreme prejudice if necessary

For years the couple have attended St. Monica Catholic Church, where they were known as devoted parishioners, said Msgr. Lloyd Torgerson. Jean Adam sang in the choir, and Scott Adam, who once pursued a doctorate in theology, often wanted to discuss the Scriptures. “They are great people, wonderfully attentive, and came to this community each Sunday when they were in town.”
But friends say the Bibles were not the purpose of their trips. “They did bring Bibles with them, but they’re not doing a proselytizing mission,” Stolnitz, 57, said. “They distributed Bibles to Christian churches and communities who appreciated them. They’re not out there trying to convert they’re just being nice people. It’s just part of what they do as their sailing adventure.”
Agree. While I have no issue with our special op’s guys going in and wasting a bunch of these so called pirates, I would hate for any harm to come to our military guys and gals because of the stupidity of these two people. I have read that these people used all their assets to purchase their boat and to finance this trip. Sooo, my dark side being what it is, I have pondered the possibility that they purposely put themselves in harms way so to improve their chances of being kidnapped, thus providing themselves with certain financial opportunites once released, i.e. books, interviews, movie deals. Just saying... :)
Next time, fly a Russian flag, and nobody will dare bother you.
“Next time, fly a Russian flag, and nobody will dare bother you.”
To add: I think this would cause Teddy Roosevelt to spin in his grave; but it’s unfortunately true that the US flag doesn’t offer you any protection any more.
I’m with you swampy.
Way past time.
That's going to go down well in Somalia.
Look for them to return fully burkered at best.
