OK, so PSYCHO-FREEP isn't 100% in line with you. I am a Palin supporter, PSYCHO and I have gone around a bit, but no personal attacks or reverting to childhood battle tactics. Repect him for his conservative values and continue to help put forth the best candidate. Did you not read where he said he will support her if nominated? What's wrong with putting it out there? Right now I think Palin is our best shot. But as PSYCHO said, let's get behind whoever gets nominated. In the meantime, discuss it with him and try to sway him. I have had no luck getting him to agree with me on Palin, but he never insulted me. Anyway, I have to get some work done, I will check back later for some more Palin comments. BTW, I have changed the mind of a few with facts and emailing videos of Palin speeches.
Who was banned?
I think a bunch of people who are spouting polls don’t get it. Which of the top five or ten Republican candidates can fill a rally venue without having to pay for it?
Last time I looked there was one.
During this part of the season, I would only bet on someone people are spending their hard earned money on. How much of Romney’s fortune did he spend last time? How much of a yuck factor does Huckabee have (just look at the fat family Christmas picture)? Is Chris Christie gonna to lose 100 lbs minimum (or be unelectable)? Is anyone even talking about Bobby Jindal anymore? Is there any name recognition for Pawlenty?
Palin came out of nowhere, and has been in the spotlight for YEARS. The left has spent so much energy trying to denigrate her, it has past the point of ugly. And past the point of ugly reflects on the subject, not the object.
Any poll of adults, is biased. We all know how. 5-10 points minimum. The reason for the huge midterm win, and it was unexpected by the polling, was the excitement for conservative candidates. The Tea Party. Whether anyone likes it or not, wants it or not, understands it or not.
If you choose any of the nots in the above, your candidates will still be competing in the ho hum category of the republican party. Head to head with democrats and subject to all the negatives and none of the positives where the media is concerned.
Good luck, I really mean it. But don’t whine when the nots come home to roost. And don’t blame anyone else when your candidate fails to get out the base and excite the others. It is not the people that don’t vote for your candidate that is the problem. That’s after action whining.
Do or do not.
Yoda
I guess someone compared Palin to Yoda. Did that happen with Huckabee? Romney...Pawlenty...Jindal...et al?

Palin is electable. She is also vetted very well. Christie’s stance on gun control, immigration, and other things will get to him later. The people who are waiting for a newcomer will be sorry, as the skeletons will emerge from the closet. They haven’t found any dark secrets about Palin, and you know they are looking very hard.
Your points about campaign contributions, filling a hall for free, recognition, etc are all good points. The good news is, when she is nominated the people on this site who find her incapable will come around. I think.
People who flat out lie are definitely NOT 100% in line with me.
If you track back in the thread to see where this started, you'll see it's where I challenged him on his interpretation of Sarah's remarks to the people of Wisconsin and the unions.
He thoroughly misrepresented what she said, and accused her of being of a mind with the union protesters. Even after Republic posted Sarah's exact words to him, he still attempted to defend his attack on her. I found that to be utterly dishonest, and unworthy of a tenured Freeper.
I pointed out the fact that his accusations had zero merit, and that his opposition to her was most likely not coming from any real disagreement with her policy or record, but from some irrational dislike of the woman. In other words, he's got a fine case of PDS.
I'm sorry, but he shot himself in the foot on this thread. All I did was point out the dearth of any logic or reason in his stance.
Did you not read where he said he will support her if nominated?
I did see that. Did you see where I explained to him that I don't insist that he support Sarah Palin for president, and that it's only the irrational, ad hominem attacks that I object to?
There are potential candidates for president who I don't support, but you won't find me going on to every thread about them, trashing them, and having bar brawls with their supporters. That sort of behavior is out of line, as far as I'm concerned. I don't do it, and I have little patience with others who do.
Well said. My apologies if I offended you. PSYCHO will be on board when she is nominated.
Yes, and "Pro-Choice Republicans" works also.
Ping! :)
Yeah thats the ticket LOL!
Thanks, Victoria. Nice to see you again.
