WASHINGTON (AP) -- After stunning colleagues by recalling that she once had an abortion, Democratic Rep. Jackie Speier of California made clear Friday that the procedure was not something she welcomed and was done because the baby was not going to survive.
Speier, first elected in 2008, took to the House floor on Thursday evening during a debate over stripping funding to Planned Parenthood.

The baby was not going to survive, well she was right about that.
Nobody is going to stop you from killing the baby, AMERICANS JUST DON’T WANT TO PAY FOR IT! MORON!
It was disgusting hearing this murderer use such a vile euphemism as “I lost a baby” to refer to the slaughter of her child, as if it was a miscarriage. No, you didn’t “lose” your baby. You murdered your baby you contemptable creature! And don’t think you pull at our heartstrings referring to it as “I lost my baby.” You’re just enraging people who respect the sanctity of life trying to compare the completely voluntary act of abortion to the involuntary tragedy of miscarriage. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.
And by the way, no one is preventing you and other sluts like you from getting an abortion. You can still murder all the baby’s you want. It just won’t be with taxpayer funding going to Planned Infanticide to help you do it.
Thinking the same thing. Also if it wasn’t going to survive anyway, what was the point of killing the baby?
It wasn’t her abortion, it was her baby’s.
Once again the republicans missed a chance because they can’t think on their feet. All that had to be said was “I’m sorry for you loss. Did the taxpayers pay for it?”
This killer holds herself out to be a Roman Catholic.
From Wikipedia:
Speier approves legal abortion. When she took the National Political Awareness Test in 2002, she answered, Abortions should always be legally available.[20] The organization NARAL Pro-Choice America rated Jackie Speier as 100% on interest group ratings because she supported the choice of abortion in her voting for legislation.[21] Also, in 2008 the Planned Parenthood Organization gave Jackie a 100% on her actions regarding Abortion.[20] In a speech on the House floor on February 17, 2011, Speier proclaimed that she herself had undergone an abortion.[22]
Wiki also says that she is “Catholic.” Her parents named her after Jackie Kennedy.
After reading what she went through, that wasn’t an abortion. It was a miscarriage. The baby had to be removed. I’ve had 3 miscarriages. One in which my body never expelled the baby, so I had to have the baby removed. It had been dead several weeks. She’s trying to invoke sympathy to use for abortion. Just like they use rape, incest and the life of the mother. Which is about 3% of all abortions. Anyone who knows anything about miscarriages will tell you that’s what she had. She didn’t have an abortion. It’s just stupid. They called my first miscarriage a missed abortion. Don’t know why they call it that.
What BS. These past weeks we’ve al read about the crimes committed in the abortion mill in PA, I think, where “doctors” and staff severed the spines of living children with sissors. Abortion is murder, duh.
Actually they used to call a miscarriage “a spontaneous abortion”
Sorry to hear of your lost children...
She was named after Jackie Kennedy? Let’s see: if she’s 60 years old then she would have been born in 1950-thereabouts. Jackie Kennedy became 1st lady in 1960-probably unknown b4 that. Unless her parents knew Jackie at the time I think they should have named her after Hillary.
Oh, I’d purely love to see a congressperson talk about her own abortion. What that actually was was her having her own child aborted, which is not precisely the same thing.
I’m not buying it. If she had truly “lost” a baby, she would be outraged at the millions of women who so cavalierly have theirs sucked down a sink for no treason except convenience. While we pay for it.
A “missed abortion”?? That is very strange.
Ugh. Great. Anyone know who’s parish she attends?
