The bench is thin but former Representative Heather Wilson will have a go.

The Rats strategy is clear. Cram socialist healthcare down our throats and then run new candidates in 2012 who do not have the healthcare yay vote on their record. The Rats will run a bunch of fake fiscal conservatives who pretend to oppose the healthcare law. Are American voters dumb enough to fall for it?

How well has the Tea Party made inroads in New Mexico? Is there a chance we can pick up this seat next year?

2012 is promising to be one of the best seasons in a while. We are allowed to bag Does and Bucks with no limit and no permit. They have been declared Varmints. Destroying the Habitat.

Does anyone else get the feeling that we’ll be seeing more of these announcements from BOTH sides of the aisle?

I’m reminded of the scene from Deep Impact where a senior cabinet member resigns and is found stocking up his boat with Ensure.

Basically, these guys are starting to figure out that the end is nigh and they don’t want to be on Capitol Hill when the Bolsheviks storm the gates.

Heather’s been out of the loop for a bit too long, plus she lost the primary when she ran for Domenici’s seat.

I also think she may have some health issues. She did help new Gov. Martinez with her transition, but did not stay with the administration.

I think lib Heinrich may go after it for the Dems. Who knows for the repubs at this point, I like Pearce but he just got back in the house this year.

all these senators that voted for Obamacare but now are leaving is NOT going to help us, they would of lost because of their Obamacare votes... but now someone else will run that will pretend to be against Obamacare and might have a shot.

Are American voters dumb enough to fall for it?

It is not so much that they will fall for it. They know it is a canard and they use it to deflect from the real reason they are voting for the democrats.
The real reason will be that they are wealth redistribution beneficiaries, unions, welfare, low income, etc. or pro abortion, pro gay rights, anti-religion, etc.
