AWOL Wisconsin Democrat calls CNN with list of demands

State Senator Mark Miller, a member of the missing band of Wisconsin Democratic lawmakers who fled Madison Thursday to avoid a vote on a budget bill, called into CNN with the group’s list of demands for Republican Gov. Scott Walker.
Miller, a state senator since 2004, would not disclose where he and his colleagues were hiding out, saying only “we are in what we consider a secure location outside the capital. We are not all in one place at this time.”
Miller’s demands focused on the collective bargaining portions of the bill.
“We demand that the provisions that completely eliminate the ability of workers… to negotiate on a fair basis with their employers be removed from the budget repair bill and any other future budget,” Miller said.
He also demanded legislative oversight on changes to the state’s medical programs, which are targeted for changes in the bill. The bill would also require union members to contribute to their health care and pensions.
Miller and 13 other Democrats went missing Thursday morning when a vote on a budget-repair measure was imminent in the Republican-controlled Senate. It would have passed the Senate after getting out of committee on a party-line vote late last night, so Democrats left the building to stall a vote on the measure.

Ha! Democrat Politicians behaving like liberal Union thugs & teachers!
No, they just delayed things for a while.
The fight was over redistricting. The governor called a special session, and the Democrats tried the same tactic again (this time in the Senate).
Then, the governor called another special session. At this point, I think it became obvious that the governor would just keep calling for special sessions and the Democrats showed up.
The redistricting bill passed.
We were going to IKEA and he turned off ahead of us and went on the same route, including turning at IKEA but he went on into Potomac Mills.
Here's why things were suspicious ~ HE HAD NO PARKING STICKERS on his Audi. That's highly irregular. All those guys have a company paid parking space somewhere ~ so he removed the stickers to HIDE who he was.
His plate had an innocuous number starting with 860~ probably taken from his second or third cars since a low number would indicate that he had earlier been an important Democrat.
He sensed we were following him ~ as if he expected someone somewhere would figure out he was a runaway legislator!
So, there you have it ~ a Cheesehead running loose in Northern Virginia showing every sign of being a Democrat politician on the lam.
Since he's checking the internet for news he'll pick this up on Google ~ "We know you're here. You are being watched closely. Best you depart immediately for Wisconsin if you know what's good for you"!
There ~ that takes care of that.
Just a follow-up on Cheese-heads running around loose in Springfield ~ we spotted one this morning in an Audi convertible headed South down 95.

Just thinking- if the pols have paid State Police body guards (like the basketball coaches) while the pols may have immunity, the Gov can recall the State Police or better yet, deputize them as US Marshalls (or even bounty hunters) and when recalled they can just bring the pols with them...
Like they said, only need ONE.
If they went on into Potomac Mills they were either lost or have local guides.
A lib from Wisconsin would have trouble navigating the back roads and if he is using a Govt vehicle with GPS, the black ops choppers can track him.
I don’t really see what the problem is here....
Have to be an experience that would make him feel he really needed to be in Madison!
