I read in ESPN magazine that Hendrick has a pit crew audition like the NFL combine. Bring in college guys that don’t get offers in the NFL, test them for pit skills, and hire the best prospects.

Usually they’re breaking at different times so I get more complete coverage. And the radio pre-game show is less show-biz fluff than the TV.
