just got off the phone with Wisconsin State Senator Chris Larson, one of the Democrats who has left the capitol in order to stall the GOP's plan to rolll back the bargaining rights of public employees. Speaking to me by cell phone from an undisclosed location, Larson said he and his fellow Democrats would not return until the GOP takes its assault on organizing rights "off the table."
"Each of us is in a secure location," he told me, confirming that they were not all together but were monitoring events on the Web and on Twitter. Larson refused to say whether he and his fellow Dems had left the state, as some have speculated.

I recall a radio interview with a Republican Texas state senator, many years ago; when the GOP senators were hiding out, to stop passage of some bill.
Sorry, but those were sorry ass DEMOCRATS who didn't want to allow the re-districting of Congressional districts! The GOP never walked away from their jobs!

I wonder what the legal options are to declare them in breach of their office and have new senators appointed. This time Republican ones.
Wouldn’t that be a hoot. Then with an all Republican senate ram through freedom in every sense until the socialists flee the state.

I've updated the picture below for our brothers and sisters in Wisconsin. This is one of the pics we used here in Texas back in 2003 where our very own set of Democrats turned into a bunch of Chicken D's and fled the state under the cover of darkness in order to not do their sworn duties and work for their citizens as they were elected to do. Chicken Democrats are pretty much all the same anywhere you find them it would seem, YELLOW COWARDS.

Dems will not return, Larson vowed, “until the Republicans are prepared to listen to the effects of this bill on workers and what it will do to our state.”
From what I understand, they are allowed to say whatever they want befor the vote. As an American, I am more than a little sick of the elite minority rule we’ve had to put up with for so long. Now that the Tea Party has emerged, the majority is closer to being in the drivers seat. The democrats answer to this is cut and run? Do they even care about 2012? From where I sit, they just lost the election.

you mean they BUGGED OUT?

They are apparently at a Best Western in Rockford Illinois. Care to have some fun? Call and ask to be transfered to them. Jamming the hotel switchboard will make them unwanted guests in a hurry.Everyone should order pizza and stuff under their names to be delivered to them.

The
Wisconsin constitution states:
SECTION 7. Each house shall be the judge of the elections, returns and qualifications of its own members; and a majority of each shall constitute a quorum to do business, but a smaller number may adjourn from day to day, and may compel the attendance of absent members in such manner and under such penalties as each house may provide.
There are 19 Rs and 14 Ds. Where do they get that they need twenty state senators (60%) for a quorum?

“Well, then it seems no budget can be passed and the entire government will have to shut down.”
If they shut government down, who doesn’t get paid? Also, what is the deficit?
Something I would do is propose a “right to work” bill.

They say they believe in the democratic process, but that is until things don’t go their way.

That's just mean! I like it! It's easy to be devious with VOIP - my calls look like they are originating in Belarus!

I believe that the Wisconsin constitution also says that there has to be a three-fifths quorum to vote on fiscal matters.
