Thank you Gov. Schweitzer... And it's about time.
Wonderful news.
Isn’t Schweitzer a lefty?? (I’m sure he wants to be elected to some position in the future though.)
I think, in all seriousness, all it’s going to take for the second civil war to start soon, is enough of a spark. The powder is piling up.
Bout damn time.
Every state needs to just start defying the feds. On every level, in every department. Time to shrink fedgov back to the ten square miles of Potomic swampland.
Shoot.
Shovel.
Shut up.
This is very encouraging. Things are building up for CW II.
yeah... I am sure the upcoming election is part of it... but he's been good on RKBA (defied federal registration for firearms/ammo sold in-state), Shale Oil Development, and now this...
Credit where credit is due...
Fabulous news!
ha! The Governors are really stepping up to the plate. So encouraging to see.
The 2012 election (assuming there is one) is shaping up to be a very interesting event.
This is a key passage - "North of the I-90 corridor" is roughly 2/3rds of the state. South of I-90, AFAIR, has had special contingencies for ranchers and game depredations.
The Northwest Rockies (in the state) are the heaviest concentrations, and wolves have been utterly protected since federal regulation came back into effect after one successful wolf hunt.
This region borders the Idaho Panhandle, where y'all have probably seen pics of whole elk herds being slaughtered by wolves... That obviously doesn't stop at the ID/MT border...
I thought wolves leaked out of Yellowstone Park into Paradise, Gallatin and likely Madison Valleys.
Each State that tells our King to go to hell better make sure the National Guard is on standby. The Guard is made up of citizens of each State and when it comes push to shove they will support their State. Add to that the Armed Services is also made up of citizens that come from the States or territories and they will not kill their own.
Schweitzer, like Baucus and Tester, is somebody in Montana who grows more conservative the closer an election comes. Since he’s term-limited for guv, you have to ask: What’s he up to? He’s had six years to sound off on this topic and hasn’t.
Wild conjecture. Tester, the man of a thousand press releases a week notwithstanding, might well be signaling, under the radar, he won’t run in 2012. So he’s letting Schweitzer make some noise in advance so he can try to look as conservative as his opponent, Rehberg.
This move by our guv is not what it seems. And too early to see through the smoke and past the mirrors.
In any case, announcing against wolves in Montana isn’t exactly Audie Murphy courage.
Heh... yeah... and he's a democrat, too!
I’m liking Montana more and more...
The thing these professional pols don’t understand is the more laws they insist on dreaming up the more scofflaws they create.
Soon, only the media will pay any attention to their blathering. They’re bringing it on themselves.
ping!
I seem to recall that a couple of years back, MT had a $Billion surplus that was promptly spent by the ‘Rats and Schweitzer instead of being turned over to The People.
