'No one told her to go there': Now FEMALE pundit lays into Egypt sex attack victim Lara Logan
Daily Mail UK ^ | February 16, 2011

A female political pundit has been heavily criticised for suggesting Lara Logan should have seen her sex attack coming - and for calling the Egyptians who were protesting for democracy 'animals'.

Debbie Schlussel posted a picture of Miss Logan on her blog, under the headline: 'Islam Fan Lara Logan Gets a Taste of Islam', before adding 'How fitting that Lara Logan was “liberated” by Muslims in Liberation Square while she was gushing over the other part of the “liberation".'

It comes as an American academic, Nir Rosen, yesterday resigned from his post at New York University after calling Miss Logan a 'warmonger' who was 'trying to outdo' rival news correspondent Anderson Cooper.

CBS correspondent Miss Logan endured a 'brutal and sustained' sexual assault and beating while covering the resignation of President Mubarak in Egypt.

The mother-of-one had been surrounded by an angry mob of 200 people before the assault which is thought to have lasted up to half an hour. She had to be saved by a group of women and 20 Egyptian soldiers and was later taken to hospital.

Yesterday Schlussel, who is Jewish, wrote: 'Lara Logan was among the chief cheerleaders of this 'revolution' by animals.

'Now she knows what Islamic revolution is really all about.

'So sad, too bad, Lara.

Unfortunately, Moslems keep proving them right! I have not forgotten Daniel Pearle.

Would YOU go into a mob of angry (so what’s new), protesting Muslims?

ding, ding, ding - another winner. I was a crime victim and I know that many crimes can be prevented. However, we can’t forget that the perps are to blame and they are EVIL. Period. Many people are too trusting and Logan was definitely in the wrong place at the wrong time - and should not have been there. I have read that she was in the hospital in the USA and suffered internal injuries. I am afraid to think of what that means. I also do not like the way most of the media are ignoring or downplaying the story.

She was a reporter trying to do her job...

This point is often brought up by those wishing to excuse Ms. Logan.

But the point is that the lovely Lara is in fact a reporter. One who is engaged in excusing the violence of the leftist Jew hating mobsters in Egypt as she followed the directives of Obama and CBS,

Was she just trying to do her job in Afghanistan as she had sex with a married solder, costing him his marriage?

She - like Rachel Corrie - was on a fool's errand. I'm sorry she was attacked. Just like I'm sorry Anderson Cooper was attacked. And those Fox reporters.

But actions have consequences.

People want to blame everyone but the Muslim Extremists for the evil they do.” _______________________________________

Please. Muslim Extremists are the “hot stove”, the basket of poisenous snakes. So, do YOU stick your hand on or in it?

RUSH always reads the reporters’ versions of “SUV Kills Driver”, or “SUV KILLS FOUR”, highlighting the bizarre intellectual exercise that SUV’s kill people but never the DRIVER in the SUV.

This is what is happening here. Muslim Extremists in a revolution are dangerous. More so to Americans in the Middle East, even more to American women in the Middle East, even more to American women in the Middle East, in the middle of a revolution. Why drive over there? Why lobby for the assignment? Why go out amongst them?

Rachel Corrie was killed in an accident due to her own stupidity while acting as a political agitator. I don’t believe she deserved to be crushed, but I do put her in the category of people who look for trouble and then find it. I have little sympathy for that. Lara Logan was not a political agitator. She was there serving at the behest of a reputable news outlet reporting on a story that held worldwide interest. Her politics have nothing to do with this. To blame her for this unconscionable.

Some people like interesting jobs. I appreciate her job choice as reporter in a war zone.

She knew the risks and a bad incident happened.

But people should not be maligned for doing a job.

Well...LOL, no, I don't think that. And I don't resemble your stereotype.

Here's what you wrote:

Reporters should be able to go into the field without being molested.

"Reporters" are male and female...no?

I just think you are incorrect in thinking that "reporters" should be immune to harm when covering "events". They go in to the "field" at their own peril.

BTW...is it a stereotype for you to think that anyone who questions you...is a mouth breathing redneck?

What’s irrational about it? When someone does evil, it is their fault, not “the Jews”, or “America’s” fault. Blame the perp, not the victim.

This was the report from CBS......So, what do you suppose the intent of CBS was by using the phrase "sustained sexual assault"? For some reason, being grabbed and repeatedly kissed on the lips doesn't enter my mind as being a sexual assault.

I really doubt that Obama called Lara and asked her to cover the story in Egypt. Reporters from many news entities sent crews.

I'm surprised you did not know that having an affair with a married soldier was not the job of a reporter. I believe in personal responsiblity ... the soldier must speak for his behavior if his marriage ended.

Perhaps you just don't like Lara Logan.

But having your shirt ripped off and being fondled all over by dozens of men would constitute sexual assault IMO.

And surfers should be able to enjoy their hobby without being chewed on by sharks.

Hoo boy! Where to begin?

Ahh, forget it. If you want to believe the purity and integrity of Ms. Logan and CBS, then what could I say to dissuade you.

You seem to be arguing against yourself. Do you mean to say that I, Sport Ute Girl herself, should stay away from SUV's because they are dangerous?

Muslims have learned very well the politically correct way of blaming 'society' or 'Islamophobia' for their actions. I say they and only they should be blamed. Certainly not the victim.

Mouth breathing redneck ... well, if you resemble that!

You really do need to get a dictionary. Do you know the meaning of the work “molested”? It does not just refer to sexual molestation.

What were they saying earlier about “knuckle draggers”?
