Howard Ruff rolls on and makes it look easier and easier.
These literally are the golden years for the octogenarian veteran gold bug, despite recently being diagnosed with Parkinsons disease.

His Ruff Times letter continues to be the top performer of the 180-plus services monitored by the Hulbert Financial Digest. Over past 12 months through January, Ruff Times is up 85.2% by Hulbert Financial Digest count, versus 23.93% for the dividend-reinvested Wilshire 5000 Total Stock Market Index.
Over the past three years, the letter is up 16.28% annualized versus 0.86% annualized for the total return Wilshire 5000. This is despite his being very badly hit in the Crash of 2008, along with other hard-money letters.

Still, Ruff hasnt lost his taste for bold speculation. His latest issue contains a forceful endorsement of Sarah Palin arguing she has fully captured the spirit of Ronald Reagan. (Ruff was a major backer).
Of fellow Mormon Mitt Romney, Ruff says after careful consideration: I like him, I just dont trust him.

“I like him, but I don’t trust him”???
conflicting emotions? How could you like someone you don’t trust
Also, does Palin ever talk about precious metal? I wish she was more of an Austrian economist, then she be the perfect candidate
Don’t buy the media’s “she’s an idiot” meme. You don’t get to be a state governor or the vice presidential candidate of a major party if you don’t know what you’re doing. Was President Reagan an “Austrian economist” as you put it? Presidents have advisors, they don’t need to be Stephen Hawking or Albert Einstein.
Precious? I have cut back on using that.
As the article states, they are co-religionists and both are prominent people within that religion, as are Glenn Beck, Wilford Brimley, Harry Reid and Jon Huntsman. Maybe “I don’t trust him” refers to his politics and flip-flopping?
You were right and didn’t even know it! LOL She’s gonna grow on you, I can feel it. Watch, you’ll be helping me raise that $2 million before it’s all said & done. The reality is it’s either going to be Myth, Gomer Huckleberry or Sarah Palin. I think I know which you’d pick from that group...
“Presidents have advisors, they dont need to be Stephen Hawking or Albert Einstein.”
Right, but to perform well they have to have excellent judgment, like Ike, Reagan, and (if you believe Goldwater), Harry Truman.
If she wins the primary, put me down for a donation to the 2ndDivvet bundling operation.
I’m not expecting her to be an expert on the topic, but at least be a fan of the school of Austrian economy as I am. Even amongst the free marketers, right wingers. Not many are Austrian economist. Most are monetarist or supply siders who imho have lost alot of credibility in my eyes since they didn’t see the 2008 collapse coming while the Austrian economist did
Well, I think she does. I worked for President Reagan, and while she’s no Reagan, she reminds me of him in a lot of ways. She’s certainly head & shoulders above Barry, Myth, Gomer Huckleberry and the other dwarves.
Very easy, happens every day.
I oppose Mitt. I like him. He’s a nice guy. And in a way, I trust him. I trust him to do, say anything to get what he wants. He’s been that way for decades, so I trust him to continue.
She is the only person that backs a strong dollar policy. which is pretty much an endorsement of the Austrian school.
Palin is the only one out there with the COURAGE in the face of persistently brutal opposition to do the right thing for the economy, and get people supporting it.
That means entitlement reform.
Freepers are coming from far and wide to witness Post #9!
A pilgrimage to witness something once only dreamed of.
Sorta like a picture of Jesus on burnt toast, a truly miraculous moment to be shared by one and all.
(Luv ya like a brother!) :)
This is interesting on several levels.
Mormons are usually “Trilateralists.”
(the people that give the ‘three finger salute’ like the pope when appearing in public)
Palin is most definitely not one of them, which is the chief reason why the media and the GOP elite so venomously oppose her, so is Ruff an abstainer from this antichrist cabal?
Or is this a veiled kiss of death?
.
Good.
>> “2) Obama still controls the huge mechanism of the White House, and he is a brilliant politician.” <<
.
Would a “brilliant politician” stake his administration on the deliberate undermining of Israel and Egypt?
Current events definitely say no! Obama’s novice venture into sorcery appears to be backfiring dynamically.
.
>> “Also, does Palin ever talk about precious metal? I wish she was more of an Austrian economist, then she be the perfect candidate” <<
.
If she were, she would not be a double digit candidate, and would have about the same chance as Ron Paul of getting elected.
Sarah understands real world economics, unlike most presidential candidates, and that is all that need be said.
