Former Senate candidate Alvin Greene lost his bid for a seat in the South Carolina legislature on Tuesday, winning just 1 percent of the vote in a Democratic primary.
According to unofficial election results, Greene got fewer than 40 votes on Tuesday, finishing fourth among four candidates pursuing the partys nomination to run in a general election for a state House seat representing Clarendon County and a small piece of Williamsburg County that belonged to a woman who died last year.

I'm pretty sure Greene burned up an entire life's allotment of luck when he got the nomination the first time.

Thank goodness that this was a Democratic primary. If this were a general election it would be a clear cut case of racism.

Say what you will about Mr. Greene, but he was treat a HELL OF LOT BETTER by his party than a couple of Republican Senate candidates last year.

People are “racists” for not voting for a total moron?

While you're here, FReep this poll in the Aiken Standard newspaper:
With Alvin Greene's political aspirations reaching another dead end, what do you think he should do next?
* Try out for "American Idol."
* Start training his Chihuahua for the next Westminster dog show.
* Volunteer to become a crash test dummy for automobile safety tests.
Here's the link along with an Ass Press story about Alvin's defeat. Scroll down a little for the poll on the right hand side.

He should have had a catchy campaign slogan. Something like:

Your forty votes didn’t get him over the top, huh. It’s nice to see that you’re coordinating his write-in campaign.
Meet me at the Waffle House to hash out his strategy.
Mmmm... hash!

What y’all don’t REC-ognize is that my man Alvin Greene is continuing to work his rope-a-dope strategy with mad skillz.
Y’all go ahead and laugh now, but when you least expect it A.G. is gonna come busting out with his strong game and the next stop is the White House!
