Look if you think it's ok for a blonde attractive female reporter to be in the middle of something like that, then that's fine. You're entitled to that opinion. Something tells me you wouldn't let your wife/daughter do it, though.
Back in WW2 and Vietnam you needed reporters embedded with soldiers. There was no other way to get the story out. Today there are so many ways to get video and commentary I don't think it's necessary to plop a woman like this in the middle of anarchy. This isn't a war where she was walking around with US soldiers. Don't you see the difference???
I think that I’m thankful that we have men and women journalists willing to cover news events that are often difficult and dangerous. If my daughter decided to do this for a living, of course I’d be concerned—but I’d respect her choice. And if she were ever hurt the way this woman was hurt, I’d never say, “See what you did?”
