Just an aside concerning the continuing abuse of the English language:
I hear more and more people saying, “All of the sudden...” instead of, “All of a sudden...”
How do these things get started?

I dunno; I think that all of the sudden, people just start talking that way.

"I hear more and more people saying, All of the sudden... instead of, All of a sudden... Sometimes it's irksome to keep hearing the phrase "all of a sudden." What's wrong with using the word "suddenly" in place of "all of a sudden"? It sounds better to me.

How do these things get started? You just answered it: "All of the sudden." ;-)
Cheers!
