That’s sad.
Were there any cops within the vicinty?
If he had a problem with Dozer wandering, and if he was a man about it, he could have voiced his concern....you know, like in a free society.
Sometime wonders, sorry pet owner. Someone got tire of the dog crap in their yard.
My reply would be, “It’s just a .45!”
You shoot my frikin dog while it is sleeping in his house in my yard...?
At a later date, when all is forgotten, I will smash your kneecap off with a bat. Got a problem with such retribution, you get shot in the leg too.. Then I smash your knee while yer squealing like my pup.
This is one reason they invented the ski mask and the concept of random crime.
These stories piss me off.
The correct response to this action should be "It's just lead," and walk away.
Pellet casings? I never had them!
POS like that should be "put down"!
A good friend of mine had a very valuable Lab gut shot by a worthless neighbor. The neighbor woke up to a de-fanged rattlesnake in his bed and had a (non-fatal) heart attack. The snake disappeared and no more dogs were shot in that yard.
Its like I’ve always said...
If you cannot take care of your property, pets included, keeping them safe and secure from things outside your property line, then don’t take on the responsibility...
If a dog gets off a “line”, to which I think is a cruel existance to begin with, then a secure, fenced in yard that is kept up that way is absolutely necessary...
I’m all for pets (dogs) to be able to socialize with others with zero problems and issues like that, but you have to be able to contain that for most of the time and never allow it to happen without you being there to supervise...
It really is not that hard of a concept...
Now, I’ll get off the owners case and get on the asshat who thought it would solve the problem by shooting the dog in the first place...
It’s like anything else, the laws of most states allow you to defend yourself and your property when you reasonably determine that deadly force is immediately necessary to “stop” the threat...
No matter what it is “they” are (in this case) shooting at...
Bottom line, in my opinion it’s not the dogs fault...
What the hell ever happened to personal responsibility, never mind.
A loud bang from a pellet gun?
