San Diego port officer says nukes have been found in an American port.
This Border officer is probably going to lose his job for being honest.
23 Days later, the PR person sent them a carefully worded letter.
Then someone from DHS calls the news station to ‘assure’ them nothing was ever found.
Methinks they doth protest too much. Must be true.
Besides, if the number of apprehended potential terrorists was actually revealed to the public (just say the one’s crossing the Canadian border), the public would be shocked.
Wonder how soon they will fire that gentleman in the video?
It’s a typo. Should be ‘Nikes’.
Whew. I feel much better knowing DHS is on the case.
Say, DHS, how's that border enforcement coming along?
I mean the one in Arizona, not the one in Afghanistan.
There were no nukes. There has never been any nukes. And if there were nukes, rest assured they were not our nukes.
We know nothing.

The officer ‘should’ (ain’t hindsight wonderful?) have said he had no ‘personal experience’ of it happening, but had heard grapevine rumors that it had somewhere else.
That would have covered his butt, and his superior’s.
If you watch the video, listen to the public affairs officer start yelling after the man says, “not at this location”. Hmmmm?!
Ping for later
Not only will he lose his job but the “off camera PR person” will too because she didn’t shut down the interview. Interesting that they felt the need to send a PR person to supervise.
Yep, he was just nervous in front of the camera and misspoke. Move along. Nothing to see.
From listening to the video, I cannot ascertain what is most important.
If this guy ‘knows’ of some discovery of dirty nukes, he keeps saying ‘not here’. So, it is likely that he wasn’t involved in their discovery personally. He is passing on hearsay to the media.
That doesn’t mean I don’t believe there have been any discoveries of dirty nukes, in or around San Diego. IIRC they found a ship with some high levels of radioactivity and had it held out in the Bay.
No wonder the homeland security queen was on a horse at the border.
I don’t believe this. There is no way in heck they found a nuke at the port. Heck they can’t even find illegal watermelons let alone a nuke.
I would love to play poker with that guy.
It must suck to be him right now though...
Interesting point. I guess I focused more on the man’s obvious uncomfortable look and how he paused dramatically. The interview prior to that specific question was going well and the conversation sort of flowed. Who knows? I guess it wouldn’t surprise me at all. It also wouldn’t surprise me that it was kept secret.
I wonder what he means by nukes? Actual nuclear weapons, components, material?
What I also entirely believe is that the DHS would keep this story non-existent and deny, deny, deny.
What we have here is a government that is more concerned about poking their fingers up travelers' asses than they are actually catching a terrorist before-the-act.
Beat it isn’t the first time they’ve passed through. Maybe the first time they’ve caught them?
