WASHINGTON — Responding to Republican criticism about border security, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is asking congressional leaders to temper their comments intended for political gain and take a tour of communities along the U.S.-Mexico border.
"The situation on the border continues to be mischaracterized, and I am concerned that this is hurting the morale of our law enforcement personnel and the local economies of border towns," Napolitano said...
Napolitano sent invitations to GOP and Democratic leaders in the House and Senate saying it was important to "forge a constructive dialogue" on border security. Her invitation comes as Texas Gov. Rick Perry was in Washington and continued his critique of ... border security...
Napolitano said a bipartisan, bicameral tour of the border this spring could be the catalyst for legislative efforts to improve security and facilitate trade.
Perry, as well as the state's two Republican senators, Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn, have complained that the Obama administration has failed to shore up security with additional federal law enforcement and technology.
"The response from the Homeland Security agency has been appalling. They are nonresponsive," Perry told Texas reporters following a breakfast Friday with the Texas State Society at the Capitol Hill Club.

Generally one should assume incompetence rather than maliciousness.
In this case I have to believe this destruction of our security is deliberate, carefully planned and malicious.
That’s my opinion. I have a friend from the UK that works with (NOT for) DHS and TSA at mid level and above. He says I am wrong, that they are just utterly incompetent, stupid, and clueless.

Napolitano is part of the Obama, Leftist, One World, open borders crowd blind to the concept of national, and individual sovereignty. They see masses of Leftist voting humanity, NOT illegals flowing back and primarily forth over the border.
To their way of thinking the murder, rape, theft, crime in general is just the way it is, and everything is just fine.
Maybe Janet can take her family “all by themselves” and enjoy a nice picnic at Organ Pipe National Monument. Just sayin’
This administration is simply continueing the last administrations’ “open border” policies. And bail out policy, too.

I have traveled darn near all of those trails from Sells to Gila Bend and there are quite a number of abandoned mines and such to stage things. What gets me is why Luke or DM doesn’t swing wide on their way to the range and get tactical info on where the bastards are. (maybe they are)

I think obama has kept the southern US border unsecured so it will make invasion by mexican “freedom fighters” that much easier, and harder for the US military to defend it. Obama has a plan to bring down America and it is succeeding.

Yes, that must be why the national park in AZ has a sign warning that this part of American soil is too dangerous to enter because it belongs ton the drug cartels. And that must be why so many law enforcement and border patrol officers keep getting murdered! And how that tourist on a jet ski was shot and killed. And why American landowners get fined for shooting at armed illegals on their own property.

I do know that nearly all inbound routes from DM cover that area, and outbound routes to Luke cover it anytime Range 3 or ETAC is being utilized. Those bastards cannot miss seeing F-16’s or A-10’s at 500ft off the deck.
Apparently she has been going around DC and Arizona looking for support for such a run.
