The death of a lobbyist in a Capitol Hill garage fire last month has been ruled accidental by the D.C. medical examiner's office, which said Friday that 37-year-old Ashley Turton died from burns and inhaling "products of combustion."
An autopsy also found that "acute alcohol intoxication" contributed to her death, the office said.
Too many people die around corrupt Democrats.
Thanks for posting the photo. It all makes sense now. She was backing down the driveway when the car decided to change direction and coast up hill into the garage.
Aside from all the implausibility of the technical aspects of what started the fire.
I can’t get over the husbands behavior.
Supposedly he was awakened and told his garage is on fire. Even if he thinks his wife has taken a taxi, how does he think the fire started? Does he think that something just ignited out of the blue? Does he think that some kind of garage thief broke into his garage and started a fire?
Does he think that since he never actually saw his wife get into a taxi cab maybe he had better make sure she wasn’t driving the car that morning or previous evening?
Sorry but his behavior is not rational.
Acute as in:
We all get acutely drunk
or
More alcohol than her system could handle in a specific period of time
LOL!
Here is eyewitness video.
Here is the news story with eyewitness testomony of the cracking and that the husband was in the house http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid30317508001?bckey=AQ~~,AAAABvaL9Hk~,mLC66bU8hPPEixOfY5Pc8DGh7QP3dFX0&bctid=745088874001
I wonder if that is why the ‘friends’ who knew her line about her being gossipy and wanting to “take conversations to the porch” was mentioned? It just kind of an odd statement to make by ‘friends’ towards a suddenly, violently lost pal. Would’nt you mention how much she loved her kids; what a proficient worker she was; how she kept it all balanced...but instead, some nameless ‘friends’ can only add that such a connected DC insider, was “gossipy.”
That makes me think that some ‘damage’ control is being done; like someone(s) knew what she had access to; had seen; had learned...and now they throwing the warning out there to anyone she might have gossiped to.
It fits with the late Friday of a BIG news day drop too (only those interested would go looking for it. Like those who had a glass of wine on the porch with Ashley.
Hey, tell it to the judge. ;’)
Dv, thank you for posting that quote and the link. Please see my post above (@107 of this thread).
My siblings love beer. (I hate it, I stick to vodka, tequila) They can put it down; how they function is beyond me. Ashley could have been no different.
They do not consider it a problem because they drink (and drink heavily) at certain times, not allowing it to interfere with work. ie trained alcoholics.
I think you’re mistaken about the driveway being flat, or level. It appears to me that it’s sloped upward, with the garage being slightly higher in elevation than the road. Which makes it even more outrageous that the car rolled forward. It would have to stop moving backward, change direction, and roll up hill, in the opposite direction of the gear it was in.
Post #52 says she did drink wine.
ps. Pass that vodka, gf!
Thanks, maggie....hadn’t seen that top photo. I wonder how difficult it would be to get the BMW in or out of the garage with the gold car parked were it was. (Wonder if the gold car was parked there after her SUV was already in the garage.)
The article defined “Acute Alcohol Poisoning” as the result of drinking vast amounts of alcohol in a short amount of time. Hmmm? If someone is an alcoholic and maintaining a job, don’t they drink small amounts during the entire day to keep a certain level on board? Who would drink a huge amount first thing in the morning and then go off to work? I am saying this case is a bit stinky to me.

I still think its level (take a look at the photo @post 80—the neighbor who was interviewed is standing at the fence, looking at the garage.) The brickwork looks flat (so if any grade at all, minimal)...but I agree that the explanation of rolling back into the garage, while in reverse, made by crime scene investigators makes no sense...to the point of being fiction.
So, it took them 30 days to decide she was sloshed and that BMWs go forward while in reverse. And then the slight forward roll into the workbench broke through the headlight and the grill and the radiator causing it to explode. Well, we are talking about those evil SUVs so I suppose that the door locks also conspired to remain locked from the inside or did the SUV conspire with her breakfast foods? Ah ha, now I get it! Moochelle will now ban breakfast and Hussein will ban gas guzzling SUVs and can start his takeover of BMW. There, three birds with one stone.
Okay, that makes sense.
The only way that driveway would be inclined would be if the investigators were falling down drunk.
