Thanks for the link. I had no idea this film was being made.

It is a great trailer. I guess I too will go see it, along with my family of course.

Me too. I thought she would be an excellent Dagny. She can change her looks to fit the description of Dagny from the book, but she’s got that “attitude”....with heart and knowledge.

It is set in the future. It’s not clear whether they will be stating a year specifically or not. IIRC in the original filming they did refer to a year 2016, but there has been a lot of talk online imploring the production staff to remove the year so it will not become stale as of that date. We’ll see on April 15th if the online fans had iny say in the movie or not, on that point.

How ironic that it comes out on tax day.

Opens in limited release on April 15th

which means, without a BIG working capitol, it will reach a limited audience.

Add to that, you can bet it will find itself under attack to keep it from a general release.

Is this the first of a trilogy?

It needs to be picked up by a major broadcasting company where it can be accessed by everyone and re-shown over and over.

In the meanwhile - we need to 'broadcast' it to everyone we know and beyond.

OMG! That looks awesome! Seriously, that looks better than I could have imagined...wow.

I’ll own it as soon as it’s out on DVD...I just hope it’s shown out here in the sticks of Iowa.

“Dagny is always played by a young Barbara Stanwick in my head, I don’t know why.”

Me too. Maybe she was who the author had in mind.

I’ve been expecting at best a slightly elevated TV movie.

The production value in the trailer looks pretty good.

"Computer color-correction is annoying, and makes everything look unreal (in a bad sense) and, what’s worse, the same."

It does look especially pronounced in the trailer. My guess is that it's a bi-product of the heavy green screen use. You can tell that the lack of budget, didn't allow for many sets to be built, so they compensate with computer generated backgrounds and buildings and whatnot.

The trailer actually looks a little better than I personally anticipated. I've heard from several people who saw the some extended cuts at CPAC yesterday that it was a bit of a mess, at least from the clips that were shown.

I don’t recall that line coming from Dagny.

Not in the book, in the movie trailer.

What I meant is that I don’t recall Dagny saying those words in the book. I heard them in the trailer.

I don’t recall her saying that either. I just read the book not too long ago and was involved in the threads about it.

By looking at the trains and autos in the trailer, it looks like the present.
