Just how would Egypt “back out” of the peace treaty?
Can’t remember the man’s name who “stepped to the mike” in Cairo a few days ago (pro Moslem Brotherhhod), said the treaty with Isreal was between Marbarak and Isreal, not Egypt and Isreal.
The only concrete action I can think of they could take would be to open the border with Gaza and openly support Hamas. That would cost Egypt a billion and a half a year in aid, though. (At least it would with any other administration. Who knows what Obozo would do.)
