A seasoned EMT once told me that when (usually old) people die in their homes alone, pet cats often eat parts of them, whereas dogs will invariably guard the body and starve alongside their owners.

I am essentially a dog-lover, and have always been sort of indifferent to cats.

I suppose this story proves the EMT’s claim false...

Except that I also happen to be rather indifferent to the smaller breeds (with the exception of Westies and other like-breeds), specifically chihuahuas and teacups of just about any kind. They often seem slightly psychotic to me.

Wrong, we have a friend whose estranged son died and whose body was undiscovered in his house for 10 days, his cats ate his body.
