Former PACOM Chief: How Will China Use Its New Weapons?

Former U.S. Pacific Command Chief Adm. Tim Keating (ret.) reiterated what we’ve been hearing from U.S. defense officials for a while now regarding China: The question isn’t what type of military technology is the Asian giant developing, it’s what will it do with all that firepower?

“We kinda have a pretty good feel for what they’re fielding” in terms of weapons, said Keating during a talk on missile defense at the Heritage Foundation here in Washington. For example, the U.S. has known about weapons like the J-20 stealth jet for a while now, according tot the former admiral.

“It wasn’t a surprise, we knew about it the whole time,” said Keating. “We were hardly surprised by this airplane rolling out.”

The real question is, how does China plan to use new weapons such as stealth jets and aircraft carriers that appear to be designed to project power and counter Western technology?

I fear that because we ask these questions, rather than face the obvious reality, so many are going to die in the next big war.

China intends to use all this stuff, and not just to help out in disasters.

I call that [double talk], [excuses], [face saving] at its dumbest... Period!

I mean remember [how well] the [grainy pics] were received by us here in the West and also in other places outside of ChiCom domains???

Well... based on my recollections, it went something like this: The first reaction was that it (the ChiCom J-XX) was no more but a [carefully orchestrated “ChiCom government trick, or fake” pulled out of a ChiCom magician’s hat] and secondly, it’s no more but some China boy fan club work of art.

Most ironic, it was also these very exact individuals, and characters, who was adamant that this ChiCom replica of an F-22 was a fake. Remember that one, Boy’s?!!! Or is our memory as short as those of the individuals who now doubles back and claim they knew all about this ChiCom replica of an F-22 all along???

I mean far as I can recall, even up to the moment that it was labeled a sure fake by sources here in the West, the mighty Robert Gates himself was still dead sure and insisting that these darn ChiCom won’t have anything near an J-XX until the 2020 time frame...

So, why double track and say “they knew about it all along” when they know this statement is false? Why not just accept the saying that “necessity is the Mother of all creations” and that this Darwin’s law applies to one and all all humans?

Sorry boy’s, it just doesn’t make an iota of a sense that [there’s only one super race out there capable for Area 51 stuffs] while the rest of the world are made up of dummies?

Bottom line: There’s nothing wrong with admitting that we are not the only super one’s — sometimes...
