Folks that are spending time aggravated by or worrying about what kind of shoes the first lady wears need to get a hobby, some friends, or a life in general. If she had worn an old, shabby pair of tennis shoes, the very same folks here complaining would be making comments about how embarassing she was for wearing torn-up shoes.
I basically agree with your comments.
But when our side is constantly hectored by the MSM for similar things, it’s difficult to avoid returning fire.
Not if she was out gardening in them they wouldn’t.
If this were Sarah Palin...oh, that’s right there was a big stink over her wardrobe while she campaigned with McCain. What a stink that was.
Its not her shoes, its the lies and planned deception that annoys.
Plus I distinctly remember the lefties complaining about Sarah Palins expensive clothes. Now they complain that Sarah doesn’t wear designer clothes.
SO you don’t believe it’s a valid point to bring up, that Michelle appears to be trying to look like the average person while wearing shoes the average person can’t afford?
And when you’re gardening, I am pretty sure people here wouldn’t bitch about her wearing ripped up shoes. Now if she went to a formal function looking like a sack of potatoes and beat up shoes, yes the frumpy charges would be valid.
Frankly, she invites the criticism. As FLOTUS, you can’t talk about “people are hurting” and pay $495 for a pair of garden boots!
This is of a piece with her telling women in Ohio during the ‘08 campaign that they should do noble work, like teaching, public service, etc., while she was pulling in $320K/year from U of Chicago Hospital for doing nothing other than being married to a U.S. Senator.
