I agree with you very much. The delibrate sinking of a carrier with 5500 souls would be a cause to strike back with nuclear weapons
I wonder if they call these new missiles, the “Bill Clintons”, or “Bubbahs” for short?
A lot of the Chinese great strides in technology was because the Bill Clinton Administration allowed companies such as Loral Space and Communication to sell classified technology
If 0bama could get away with it, hed probably pay off the Chinese by turning over the whole Fleet to them.

That was the plan, but due to recent events in Egypt and Iran, the Saudis have put in a “request”, leaving Our Glorious Leader with no choice in the matter...

There was a plan to turn over the US Navy to China?
Looks like the chinese got a screwin from Klintoon, on their guidance systems for “campaign” funds, same as he gave the USA in our exposure to him. Equal opportunity STDs from slick and hitlery.

What do you think? Sounds like something Our Glorious Leader would do to pay off his debts... was sarcasim —sorry.
No problem.
Click on pic for past Navair pings.
Post or FReepmail me if you wish to be enlisted in or discharged from the Navair Pinglist.
The only requirement for inclusion in the Navair Pinglist is an interest in Naval Aviation.
This is a medium to low volume pinglist.
Not even the US could hit a moving Carrier at sea with a ballistic missile.
If it were a cruise missile with it's own radar/guidance...I would believe it.
Look up the Pershing II missile. Similar range, and active radar terminal guidance. This is the kind of technology the DF-21 is using. And it is not the first time it was considered. The Soviets were testing a shorter range version of either the SS-N-6 or SS-N-8 SLBM with a single maneuverable re-entry vehicle equip with active radar homing. Not wuite as accurate (late 60’s early 70’s), but that was to be nuclear armed.
There is an invention called GPS and Over the horizon radar.GPS is on all of our ballistic missiles. Did you know the Trident MIRV has a CEP of 400 ft.
I thought the J-20 strike fighter was called the "Crinton".
Of course, we could both be wrong. Maybe they'll just build a statue to him in Tien An Men Square. Of course, "devil persons" may not rate statues in the Celestial Kingdom.
This DF-21D weapon has never had one single operational test...not one. We would know and see any live fire tests out into the ocean over thousands of kilometers.
it is a lot of talk...and IMHO, it is a red herring in hopes we will "think" they have it and thereby limit our operations out of fear of it. Pure Sun Tsu.
As it is, the us has developed, tested, and fielded a successful anti-ballistic missile defense on our AEGIS vessels already. So even if they do ultimately make one of these...or several...it will be charging into the teeth of our most effective defense.
And that defense is getting better. In April of this year (2011) we successfully tested an anti-missile laser weapon system. Not deplyed yet...but the new Ford Class carriers, the new Zumwalt Destroyers, and the new Burke Flight III destroyers (should we develop them) will all ultimately have these weapons on them as well.
Here's how that would work (in addition to the AEGIS BMD missiles already deployed:
