it provides a tremendous medium where movement conservatives can point each other in the direction of relevant stories that would otherwise go completely noticed by the MSM. That notice then gives to the relevant story the critical mass it needs to drive it to a level that it then can't be ignored by the MSM.

The day after the final 2008 presidential debate, the MSM and the White House was still trying to portray "Joe The Plumber" as a non-existent "Everyman" cited by John McCain. Million already knew otherwise.

The media knew from the get go and was working to discredit him as "not really a plumber" and a "deadbeat dad". They stall until they no longer have to.

The media didn't care that they got the "motive" and "associations" of the Arizona shooter wrong. It's all simply pravdaesque yellow journalism.
