Sarah Palin, liberal darling?! Continue Reading
That was the outcome of a Harris Poll taken online at the end of January, with some 23 percent of self-described liberals saying they want Sarah Palin to run for the Republican nomination in 2012.
Libs "may be looking at who they would like to see Barack Obama run against," according to the release from the pollsters, whose survey was among a group of 2,566 people taken Jan. 17 and Jan. 24. The pollsters didn't provide a margin of error since the sample size was self-selected meaning it was only people who agreed to take part.
However, like nearly all other surveys taken early in a race, it heavily favors those with strong name recognition.
Among moderates, 22 percent said Rudy Giuliani should run, a near-tie with his fellow Northeasterner Mitt Romney, who was at 21 percent. Among conservatives, the top picks for who should run are Mike Huckabee 36 percent, with Romney and Palin each getting 31 percent.

IIRC they also wanted that dimwit Reagan too.Obiviously they haven’t learned t be careful what you wish for.....
who cares what they like or dislike.
Politico is a liberal rag which is why they wrote this article to try and discourage people from voting for Palin who is our strongest candidate.
You clearly have an agenda to choose our weaker candidate the exact same thing this article is trying spin.
Give it up dude....
I wonder how they would react if it is Herman Cain?
So all the mud they’re slinging at Palin...is really a fake out! Pulling a fast one on us, eh?
its funny that they point to 23%, yet ignore the 67% that don’t want her to run. The truth is most liberals don’t want her to run at all. Why give her a chance to win president, when she have zero chance without the gop nomination
Dems in open primary states will go for Romney attempting to do a reverse Op Chaos.
They know if Mittster is the nominee there will be a Tea Party challenger leading to Baraq achieving a Clintonian plurality win.
I think there is a certain element within the left that believes she can be easily beaten.
Especially Politico liberals. Just the mention of her name causes them to wet their pants.
A senator and a congressman? When has that ever succeeded? We're in a pickle right now with two former senators that between the two of them couldn't pour piss out of a boot with instructions on the heel. When did we start apeing the Democrats?
I wanted Obama to win the nomination in 2008. Careful what you wish for.
Surely you are not that dense. Carter & Clinton ring a bell? The notion that DeMint, coming from the Senate is the equivalent of an Obama is as accurate as saying Reagan is the equivalent of Jimmy Carter.
The dems have spent a long time ramping up the hate for Palin. They do it more to pump up their own voters than they do to discourage the other side. They had it whipped to a frenzy over the Giffords episode. I sincerely doubt they really hate her. It is a strategy. Manufactured hatred.
They know Obama is a dud and that he will no longer be able to create all the excitement he did in 2008. They need someone that their own voters will get off their behinds to vote against.
This is why the title of this piece.
Makes me wonder if the 2008 dem candidate would have been Hillary, would McCain have won? Hillary was the known and despised opponent. I remember hearing that the GOP really figured that Hillary would be the nominee and McCain was who they liked to oppose her.
meh, either way we would have gotten a dud of some type.
When in conversation with my liberal acquaintances the mere mention of Palin’s name will generally cause the discussion to deteriorate into chaos. The mention of any other possible candidate only causes some irritation in their demeanor. Go figure. ;-)
PDS is getting really boring.
Why would Politico or the NY Times or any other leftie rag discourage any conservative from anything?
