The Daily Caller ^ | 02/08/2011 | Will Rahn

While Jeb Bush continues to insist that he will not be a candidate for president in 2012, several National Review writers seem to be encouraging the former Florida Governor to take the plunge. John J. Miller, Kathryn Jean Lopez, and Rich Lowry have all come forward in recent days to sing Jeb’s praises and speculate on another Bush candidacy.

Where is this “Chorus Grows” coming from? Kennebunkport?

The liberals would celebrate over having another Bush to bash. I say no, thank you.

Tell that chorus to shut up, and go to the back of the bus. Enough is enough, and too much in this case.

the 12 years of the country club Bushs, have been arguably more disastrous for the conservative cause, than any Democrat/Communist administration.

GW and GHW are both nice guys and marginally competent administrators. That's about it. Their leadership, when they were pressed, was good. The other 11-3/4 years that they spent in power (and frankly, 90% of the presidency is the boring legislative stuff), not so much.

The presidency is not a place for nice guys. As much as I dislike BO, he's good at what he does - namely advancing his agenda by stepping on everyone else. With a couple of of other like-minded attack dogs (Pelosi, Reid), he accomplished a pretty good piece of his list.

Doesn't mean I agree with one bit of what he's done, but I think that the GOP would do well to watch how he did it.

"Nice Guys" are not the answer. Bush (pick one, any one) would be a nice cabinet head, or ambassador somewhere. Maybe someone that you task with a fluff project ("Jeb is LEADING our charge on attacking the global warming/cooling/temp's about the same initiative") so it looks like you're doing something, but don't really care to accomplish it.

I do not share the Bush hatred that seems to have become fashionable on this forum (it’s ridiculous).

But Jeb should not be a candidate. It should be a tea party candidate this time.

I don’t think Jeb is stupid enough to try.

With Mike Pence not running and IMO Sarah Palin not running...

I have no doubt Sarah Palin is running.

I’d vote for Huck or Mitt before I’d vote for another Bush.

Rich Lowry

Isn’t that the same RINO that Ann Coulter calls the “Girly Boy”?

Me thinks so.

Jim DeMint is now on the “Jeb” bandwagon.

Good grief - is there anyone in DC with a patriotic brain?

She could be or not be, only she knows. Without her, there’s a vacuum. Who's “that person” who can fill that void? None of the 2008 retreads, for sure.

Does she want to give up $$$ and subject herself and her family to the bullsh*t? Again, only she can answer that.

I call these Anybody But Palin articles...

Exactly. Jeb is just the latest political pasta to be thrown against the wall.

I can't see him running. While I agree with him on few issues, I believe he's a smart guy with political skills. There's just too much buyer's remorse over 41 and 43.

I was an early supporter of W, but I will never vote for another Bush...especially since I've heard the cr@p that W has been spewing about "those people.." and Barbara Bush, who thought Palin ought to stay in Alaska.

Elitists are the problem, not the solution.

Should Palin win the nomination, and I think she will, she’ll need a running-mate with “gravitas”.

The liberal media will brand her as too extreme if she goes with someone like Huck, Pence or DeMint.

So I’ve been trying to figure out who would be her best veep.

Romney has gravitas, but is a liability thanks to RomneyCare and the fact that he can’t carry his homestate of Mass.

Newt & Barbour are too yesterday.

Thune & Pawlenty might do...but will either be an asset?

Jeb Bush would bring gravitas, moderation and Florida.

And while I don’t want him to be President, he might be the best choice for veep.

Romney has gravitas

Romney doesn't have gravitas, he has a different quality.
