At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, former President Bill Clinton said that Rep. Michele Bachmanns assertion that the United States has the best health care system in the world is not true and that the new crop of Republicans in Congress are living in a parallel universe divorced from reality with no facts. Clinton was responding to comments Bachmann made during her Tea Party response to President Obamas State of the Union address.
I dont like the people who have given up on us because people have been betting against our country for 200 years, he told the attendees at the World Economic Forum, a yearly gathering of top international business, political and humanitarian leaders. So far everyone who has bet against us has lost money because we had a remarkable ability to keep coming back.
On the other hand, said Clinton, I dont like what I see being set up as one of the main themes that the new Republicans are trying to set up in the 2012 elections which is they know America is a truly exceptional country and all these wussy Democrats dont.
He gave the representative from Minnesotas Sixth Congressional District as a prime example. Michele Bachmann said in her Tea Party response to President Obama, Everybody knows we have the greatest health care system in the world, he said. That is factually untrue. And so thats not true.
Clinton continued, You can get the best health care in the world in America if you are Bill Clinton, or David Gergen or Turki Faisal, but thats not the same thing as having the best system that works for everybody.

from his parallel universe called Davos.
He make look like an idiot, and he may sound like an idiot; but don’t let that fool you. He really is an idiot.
Apologies to Groucho.
We will see just WHO is in a parallel universe.
Speaking of parallel universes:
‘The era of big government is over’ - Bill Clinton January 27, 1996
Speaking of parallel universes:
‘The era of big government is over’ - Bill Clinton January 27, 1996
Let me think about this for a nano second.
Ok, I’d rather be in Bachman’s universe than
Bill and Barack’s wonderful adventure.
Bill Clinton is right about Parallel universes.
However, it’s Capitalistic Middle America that produces wealth in one universe and the leeches that make up government, generations of welfare recipients and media that inhabit another.
And it was until that RINO Hassert took over the House after Newt left office.
There was fantastic progress in reducing government during the Clinton/Newt battles.
Denny came in and gave in to everything Bubba wanted. 7 percent spending increases from 1998-2000?
Bent Bill, the King of the Useful Idiots.
Two Americas! Cool. Wait, where have I heard that before?
You said it Bill. It would be foolish for us to take seriously what democrats have for years themselves been saying about America and Americans and reinforce ever day by their actions.
What could possibly be more absurd?
Bill Clinton...Bill Clinton...is going to tell me, or ANYONE, about living in a parallel universe. LMFAO on that one.
So much time wasted.
The "works best for everyone" thingy is the qualifier.
From the article, quoting Clinton:That's because the "best system that works for everybody" looks a lot like Cuba. Even in a system where people get better treatment than I do because they have more money, for the money I have, I get better treatment than I could get anywhere else. I'll take that over Cuba or England or Canada any day.
You can get the best health care in the world in America if you are Bill Clinton, or David Gergen or Turki Faisal, but thats not the same thing as having the best system that works for everybody.
Hate to spring this on you Bubba but their universe is the one most of the voting public also inhabits - It's called reality. You're the one in bizarro world.
Bubba is capable of pulling his head out from between his intern du jour’s thighs long enough to notice anything else?
Who knew?
This from the man who couldn’t figure out the meaning if ‘is’ and ‘alone’.

The huge U.S. budget deficit poses a national security threat and projects a “message of weakness” internationally, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Wednesday as she urged Democrats and Republicans to tackle the problem.
