Manhattan Beach isn't the problem, it is Carson, Venice, Westchester, Lawndale, and San Pedro. And maybe most importantly, the lack of Palos Verdes.

Pre redistricting this used to be a 50/50 district, maybe slight lean republican. After redistricting, this is 60-70% sold dem district.

Does Gary Sinise have a residence in this district? A lot of libs will vote merely for celebrity.

Could depend on the candidates, themselves. California is more “independent” than many areas.

So a really outstanding Republican might stand a chance.
